They have room service until late night. The place was clean. The environment felt very professional with knowledge staff. No valet fee. I met my friend here and in person I added her name as person to receive key also. I had reservation in my name with her being a key recipienot and were not given any hassle with proper identification. Staff were friendly.

Consistent good service despite the merger!

We have been visiting this Westin several times a year for over six years and we were concerned that with the Starwood / Marriott merger we might see a lot of new faces and some loss of the family friendly atmosphere we have come to enjoy ( and expect)! Fortunately, our concerns were not necessary.
From our arrival and friendly greeting at the front desk, to the luxurious breakfast buffet
we enjoy each am, the same level of professionalism and friendliness still await us.
Estela and the team at the front desk, Tariq and Susie at the buffet...they are still there!
Admittedly, our visits are usually leisure weekends, but, busy or not, we are greeted with smiles and efficiency.
We miss the pool, of course, but all the other amenities have been maintained just as we expected. Hats off to the great staff !

More cons than pros

My daughter and I researched hotels in Tysons Corner but couldn't decide which 4-star hotel was best. My daughter used Hotwire to make the decision for us and we ended up with The Westin Tysons Corner which is in Falls Church. Won't do that again. PROS: Location and quick check-in. It was easy to find and check-in was about 7 minutes. CONS: Room keys didn't work, shower/tub issue and the hotel clerk. The room keys didn't work after check-in and AGAIN after returning from an event. After the second time, they deducted parking from the bill. While showering, the tub filled as if you were running a bath due to extremely slow drainage. While checking in, the clerk was more engaged with me although the room was in my daughter's name. The clerk sent a text within 30 minutes after we checked in. The text was for my daughter whom she addressed as Mr. There was another issue with what she put as my daughter's last name. My initial thought was she's either incompetent or it's an attempt at humor. Now, I think she may just have a problem with people of the LGBT community. I replied to the text after check-out and mentioned the key issues, drainage (also reported during check-out) and how my daughter was addressed (Mr. and last name issue). Another clerk replied with an apology about the key issue and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. He mentioned they would have maintenance look at the drain. No apology or mention of the clerk.
