Mostly great experience
Reviewed 1 day ago

I recently visited this hotel for a conference. A previously requested (paid) upgrade was honored for a suite, the room was nicely appointed and was nice to have a balcony. Most staff I came into contact with were pleasant. Their was a letter under the glass on the desk informing guests of renovations and construction noises, we heard none. We also heard little noise from the nearby airport, traffic outside, trains, or other rooms. My only complaint is the concierge. We asked about hop on/hop off tour options, the concierge sold us tickets to DC Trails. This was a horrible experience, the wait times for the bus to pick up from the various stops were over an hour. When we arrived back at the hotel I mentioned to a different concierge about our experience and that they shouldn't sell tickets or recommend that hotel, his reply was that he never sold tickets for that company due to the many complaints he's heard, always used the trolley tours. No other remediation was offered. So a bit of warning - don't take the advice of the concierge, always check review sites before buying.

Nice hotel, good location

Good location in crystal city, Hotels rooms are spacious and very clean. Good beds. Bar and restaurant doesn’t really have a large menu. Nice gift shop with snacks. They have scheduled van service but currently it is very difficult to keep on schedule with construction at airport. Faster to ride a taxi $13.

It was a very good experience.

Hyatt Regency Crystal City!

Once again, the Hyatt Regency Crystal City made my time away from home as comfortable as possible. Very quiet, comfortable rooms; attentive staff, especially in the lobby bar, and easy access to DCA make this my hotel of choice when working in DC.

1. Room - Great with King Bed
2. BF - too expensive for what they have to offer, total including taxes and service charge was $50 for my wife and I.
3. Meeting rooms - lots of them and great too.
4. Benguet Dinner - Fish was awesome.
5. Box Lunch - no comparison from previous experiences.
6. Many different softdrinks - some I never saw them before.
7. BF - could be better, may be convention selection not good enough. Cannot blame hotel.
