How to Get There
This is my 2nd stay for business. I am a federal employee so am limited in choices. My meetings were at the Pentagon but I choose this hotel because I had had a positive experience prior. 1. I got to the room and remembered I only had the option to choose 2 double beds, went back to the front desk and asked for 1 king; realized I forgot running shoes, asked the front desk for shoe stores but Westin has a loaner program! I had the same person, Azeb, delivered my breakfast each morning, remembered my preferences and made quick alterations. Azeb is the heart of Westin Old Town and one of the reasons I will choose to return. She is smart, kind, attentive, superior customer service.
This is a very nice place to stay, rooms are very nice and big, staff very helpful and friendly. We had meeting and had breakfast and lunch, was able to help but did not get my lunch food to me in a timely manner. I was good food. This is great to get to other places to eat and conveyance stores. about a 5 to 10 minute to Subway. Would stay if in area. Great work out area
What a great experience! We wanted a hotel away from the DC crowds (and cost) with convenient access to the Metro. It checked all of our boxes. Just a 15 minute uber/taxi ride from Reagan airport and a 10 minute walk to the Metro station.
The hotel is lovely. Our room was well appointed with all the amenities needed. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay warm and welcome. Bonus...they have a shuttle that will take you within 2 miles anywhere you want. Restaurants, shopping, Metro station, you name it.
The convenience was amazing. There are plenty of dining options easily within walking distance. A great way to spend the day is walking to Old Town, very quaint and pretty.
This hotel is in the Carlisle neighborhood, which is near several great features but close to only the Courthouse and several Federal buildings. It also has an amazing amount of brick - the entire area is covered and built with it - so shoe choice is a factor.
The facility is good, as Westin tends to make them. The lobby is nice and open, snack shop easy to find, and meeting and workout spaces well-maintained.
But it is the staff that makes this place a keeper in the travel Rolodex. No question too difficult, no odd request at odd hours a problem. The restaurant in particular made me and the many other guests feel like it was our neighborhood gastropub. I ate well, slept well, and left better than I arrived.
I had King Deluxe, which was very comfortable. The bedding was incredible. Several choices of pillows and fluffy duvet. Room temperature controls accurate and user-friendly. Room itself had pleasant decor, and bathroom was modernized and functional. I did not experience variations in water temperature as some reviewers complained of. My room was on the 6th floor. I had all meals in the hotel restaurant or in banquet events, and was very pleased. The buffet breakfast is pricey, as people have said. I usually have a granola bar and coffee in my room. By the way, the room coffee was delicious! That is a first for me. I always bring my own for backup but didn’t need it this time. Other meals in the restaurant were good, sometimes including some innovative combinations. Service could lag, so you needed to flag people down. The help was very nice and accommodating. Check-in was unusually nice, too. I haven’t had that experience for a while. They also have a complimentary limo service that will take you short distances. Not too far from the King St. metro station.
