How to Get There
Last week I spent a nice weekend in this beautiful hotel. The location is great, the facilities are very good and so are the rooms. I would go again for sure. My concern is that it’s a very expensive hotel but without getting it back in the way you are treated. Yes it had the best cutlery, best glasses and many other but the real guests needs where not met. Is like trying to be fancy just with material things but not with emotions ! I will say my examples and the reason I score very good is only as to give a constructive feedback to get better. So 1. The esperanza restaurant was closed for an event, we where told this many times even before we arrive as we wanted to book there, I suggest try to pass it low not everyone mentioning it all the time! 2. It’s normal in a place like this to eat gourmet and I love the food at all times, Esperanza restaurant even very expensive was great! But when it’s afternoon and I arrive after a trip you want a light snack, should be an area for example in the lobby where you should have that 3. And that was my biggest disappointment. We arrived Friday 16:00 and we ate from the esperanza menu at the breakfast restaurant. In the night we where hungry but Saturday we would eat from same menu again as we have reservation there so we wanted a snack something easy which was only in room service. I asked in reception if I can have the room service menu in the bar. The guy said he thing is ok but he will check. After making 3-4 calls and still trying to figure out if possible he told us to wait in the bar. Finally the waiter came and said it’s ok but when went to bring the menu he brought the other menu of the restaurant.. finally the time has passed and I didn’t want to complain again so we just had a drink and didn’t eat nothing 4. In a main bar of 5 star hotel with again high prices at least when order drinks should bring some nuts, olives or somethin, we paid To eat chips with truffle ! 5. Tea facilities in the room had only 2 teas and when we asked for more again they gave only 2. These is something so cheap and I’m sure in this cold many people drink a lot of tea.. . last my gf didn’t feel good so she asked for chamomile tea from reception but they told her they don’t have. When we went in the restaurant they had it. There was clearly no communication. The person could easily ask for it in order to bring us. Sorry for taking long but I’m sure there are things to get better and as a person in the industry my self I want to let the management know , regards !
We spend a weekend and we were fascinated by this place, hotel, spa and resort. Very comfortable room, perfect breakfast, high quality kitchen and service. Spa center cozy and you have great spa treatment. Special thanks for Inga Grajauskiene for invitation to this hotel we had really great time. Also F&B Manager Ramunas for taking care at the restaurant during our dinner. Big thanks for all the staff they did a good job. We really come back to this beautiful hotel again.
We've chosen Esperanza Resort for a day at a SPA. At the beginning we thought of staying overnight but after visiting the rooms we've changed our minds and have chosen just to have a full day at the SPA and lunch at Esperanza restaurant. Here is our experience.
- The outside of the resort is really very beautiful. By a lake and surrounded by pine forest it looks even better in reality than on pictures of the resort on their site.
- The restaurant is really nice too and the food was really good.
-Therapists at SPA were really nice and we really enjoyed most of our treatments. Special thanks to Rita as she really pulled this experience higher.
- We've visited the rooms of the resort and we thought they are a little outdated and definitely missing privacy (maybe not a problem for people who don't care about that). A room for more than 400EUR/night, where everybody passes by in front of your door? If to choose I would most probably choose the most simple standard room, which looked small but more cozy.
-At the reception of the hotel they were nice but "sans plus". They answered all what we've asked and showed the rooms but didn't really try to ask what we've wanted and give us solutions.
-SPA reception was a bit of disappointment too. When we came to book our "SPA day" once again they gave information but that's about it not really suggestions or solutions. I would expect that from the staff of the place which calls itself luxury.
-If you are not staying at the hotel, but you came to spend a day at SPA you will have a fee to just access SPA, which maybe would be normal if you come just to relax at the pool and sauna, but not if you buy 2x90min massages, and 4 other treatments for the day, and actually the pool area serves you like a waiting room anyway because they don't have any waiting or relaxation room in between procedures. I would really revise this politics, because it feels like "all we care is just that you pay the most possible".
-The morning we came for our SPA, we were too early so, as there is no actually waiting room and they were not sure if we will buy our access to pool area extra (they actually didn't even ask about that) they were not able to offer us even coffee. We were sent 3 buildings away, all by ourselves, to look for a breakfast room, to take our coffee.
- SPA itself is really not bit, but the biggest problem is changing rooms, they are extremely small and there is just one shower. Honestly for 2 people it is really impossible to change there without disturbing each other. There is also missing some small extra things like things to clean make up etc. This is not luxury!
-At the restaurant there is no even one option of main dish for vegetarians. I asked if they could prepare something simple for me without meat or fish and they refused. They did it in a polite way, 1st the waiter, then the administrator but I have never had this problem before anywhere in the world in luxury and really seldom even in really simple places. Finally I've got something to eat and it was good but the way it was managed it was not a high service.
- It's details but when you see that people have finished their bottle of water you offer another one, it's not the client who has to ask you and you don't charge simple bread (really simple), you better put that 1 or 2 euros to the price of the dishes or at least start to make some special bread! Once again the feeling is that the only interest is to get the most possible money everywhere everywhere. My understanding is that luxury is expensive but it's subtile.
All in all it really misses so many details in service and in concept that it is really noticeable just in one day. My advise would be more attention to details, more attention to clients, more simplicity but with the attitude "how I would like to be treated" and less pretending and showing off and it can be really a very nice oasis.
Excellent spa hotel in a peaceful lakeside location just 15km from Trakai. Very comfortable room with character. Pleasant spa. Helpful staff. The Esperanza restaurant serves exquisite food... pricey but well worth it. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended.
Totally luxurious resort, sitting on a beautiful lake, in the forest. Our room - however small - was overlooking the lake. If you can, ask for a bigger size room, to feel fully comfortable. The little bird zoo on the premises conflicts with the nature feel. So does the fence , in the middle of the forest, around the property. However, I guess, it is for safety and security. Fantastic cuisine, incredible service. Absolutely worth stopping by. On the expensive side, especially for Lithuania, but worth it.
