Relaxing Vacation
Reviewed 1 day ago

My mother and I traveled here to celebrate her retirement. We just returned home, and I am already missing the exquisite views. All rooms offer ocean views, but we stayed in a Deluxe which provides the closest rooms to the ocean. I have been to some of the nicest resorts/locations in the world and am rating this location on the water as a 10. I am convinced there cannot be a better location in Bermuda for a hotel to be situated. Aside from the beauty, at low ocean tide you can walk out very far (at least hundreds of feet) and still be at waist to chest level. On certain days the water is calm enough to leisurely kayak, paddle board, and snorkel. Our room was inviting, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was large with a double sink, large tub and stall shower. There was a hairdryer and robes. I realized tap water is fine to drink, but water and snacks can be purchased behind the desk ($1.50 water bottle). It is an intimate and quieter hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming which sets a certain ambiance. I encountered both Lamb brothers immediately upon arrival. In my opinion, the food was average to good, depending on what was ordered. The meal plan is definitely worth it if you do not want to leave the resort (which in this case we did not). Lunch is not included in the meal plan, and my favorite item ordered was the seafood salad. There are a lot of stairs, but to me it was a pro and a con (can be tiring or difficult but also wonderful for tiered views, with lots of little nooks and crannies). I want to point out that if you book a first floor room you can get to the pool and walk up a cement ramp to the restaurant and lobby floor where you can read and still enjoy views without climbing stairs to the beach. I want to point out staff members who left lasting impressions to us. Lynne you are friendly and have a great personality and charm. George you are so sweet and went out of your way to make us smile. Maria you were extremely polite while professional and nice to talk to. Emily you worked tirelessly to ensure guest happiness on the beach and were always smiling. Cyndi you are so down to earth and kind; you went above and beyond for us. This is the first place that I am almost certain I will return to due to hospitality and amazing location. Thanks for a great stay!

Another Unbelieval Experience

My wife and I traveled with a group of 18 people to Bermuda this past week and stayed once again at the Pompano. The group was celebrating with my wife and I our 50th Anniversary. During our stay we had a 40th and 10th blrthday celebration in addition to our anniversary. This was my 13th trip to Bermuda and our 7th staying at the Pompano. For some of our group it was their first visit to Bermuda and the Pompano and for others a return visit. Everyone in our group were so impressed and overwhelmed by the service, food and friendship of the entire Pompano family. We all hated to say goodbye but needed to return home to reality. Tom & Larry Lamb {owners} are unbelievable, they alone could make your expierence unforgettable. Then you add in Tim, Velma, Lee, George & Lynn and the entire staff and your vacation become a great adventure. It is hard to list everything that is so unique about the Pompano but the real testiment to Tom & Larry and staff is the number of people who keep returning to the Pompano year after year. I was able to observe a couple who were visiting from another hotel and the wife commenting after touring the hotel that this is where she was coming back to stay. I cannot thank Tom & Larry and the entire staff enough for how they made the expierence of my group of 18 unforgettable for all. They staff were outstanding in handling the group for breakfast and dinner each day and always kept us all laughting {thank you Lynn}. If you are looking for a great Bermudian expierence look no further than the Pompano. I will be back in a few years and cannot wait to see my friends at the Pompano once again. Once again I would like to thank Tom & Larry Lamb and Tim for helping make this trip so wonderful for all. You all are the best.

19th Stay at Pompano Beach Club

My parents started going to Pompano Beach Club when I was in middle school and have gone almost every year since. I'm now in my 30's and we make an annual trip to Pompano with my parents, husband and 3 year-old. I can't say enough about the exceptional hospitality offered by the Lamb family. Every friendly staff members goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The beach is one of the best on the island - at times you can swim/walk for miles into the breathtaking Bermuda ocean. The food is absolutely incredible with five-course dinners that will leave you full for days. It's rare today to find a resort that truly puts the personal touches on a stay. Pompano is one of a kind. See you again soon Lamb family!

sime goid, some bad, some ugly.

Staff is wonderful. Dinners are delicious and a value. BUT, the resort needs some serious updating. Broken windows, rust streaked doors, faded paint, and the ugly... dirty. The windows are filthy. What’s worse than a beautiful view through dirty windows? They should do a better job with the seaweed too. Its not worth the money.

Fourth Visit Good as the First

The Lamb brothers continue to make Pompano a wonderful escape destination. We were celebrating our 24th Anniversary, having honeymooned here in '95. Over the years the changes to the property have been solid decisions. It is a great value when you compare it to how expense Bermuda is overall. Please take note however that more and more families with small children are coming to stay here now and it does make it a louder place than it once was. The dining room is now wooden floors so the noise level in there is noticeably higher, especially when guests bring in children under 5 to eat. We think our future visits will now be before memorial day or after labor day as a result.
