How to Get There
Arrived at the hotel quite late so ordered room service which was delicious but pricey compared to local restaurants. The guys that drive the golf buggies were all lovely and chatty and couldnt do enough to help. The room was lovely and clean the pool was delightful. A lovely space for couples to relax. Breakfast was ok. Lots of selection of hot and cold foods personally I dont like noodles and curry for breakfast but there was fruit, cereal, eggs ect. The gym was small but always empty when I was in there. Would be nice to have some instructions to use the kit. Bars had lovely views but it wasn't clear what time they closed and what time happy hour was so we had to ask what was happening and when. It was lovely to have the option to use a larger pool which was clean and warm but the food at the azure bar was mediocre at best.
We were offered a boat trip but it wasn't communicated that we would be snorkelling so we were unprepaired. The boat trip didn't have any conrad staff onboard (all from a boating company)and a couple on the trip couldn't swim but were pretty much forced into the water with no explanation as to how to use snorkelling equipment and I had to go and help them back to the boat.
We only went to the bar for the entertainment on our last night which was a mistake! The singer Joe Brown was fabulous, we had such fun with him requesting songs and singing along with him. He made his performance personal to you and made us laugh! Joe is such a lovely person. I hope to see him again in the future. I would like to thank Gina, she was at breakfast and was always lovely. Kim our host went above and beyond for us and Sprite the buggy driver was lovely. Overall a good stay but communication about what's going on in resort could be improved. Thanks Joe Brown for making our last night a blast!
This place is a diamond in a coal mine! Detailed review below and do check out the pictures.
Staff: Hospitable, personable and genuinely passionate about their job and making your stay a memorable one. Special shout out to our resort host Fay and the singer by the Zest during sunsets!
Room: Impeccable Views and just the right amenities. The infinity pool is very private and has unobstructed sunset. Do not make the mistake of going anywhere else on the resort or island for the sunset as this is as good as it gets!
Personal Touch: We were provided with custom slippers with our names and bathrobes with our initials! I mean who does that!
Resort: Man this is one resort that has slopes all over! Do not attempt to walk around much as you will be out of breath and you don't want that on a vacation! The reservation desk is one of the best open air and ocean facing settings that I have seen around the world.
Tips: Avoid the villas that have obstructed views (they are on the lowest level) and make sure you spend time on the ocean hammocks!
One word : “Wauw”! What an amazing resort! By far the best hotel we have ever stayed at !
The private villa’s each have their own pool facing the ocean, the view is simply breathtaking ! Each room also has a large terras and very comfortable bed (you can even choose your personal pillow from a pillow menu), we even received a special treat as we had personalised slippers and bathrobes. Even though the resort was fully booked during our stay we did not notice this as the villa’s allow you to have all the privacy you want. It is however also possible to access the beach or enjoy the beautiful main swimming pool.
The staff in this hotel will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Nothing you ask is too much.
The resort also offers some complimentary classes such as Yoga or Thai boxing. It also has an amazing spa. A complimentary boat service to some of the islands nearby where you can go snorkelling is also offered.
Breakfast includes anything you can possible imagine ! And all of this while you can enjoy the amazing ocean view! The resort has several restaurants offering different kinds of food which were also really great. « In-villa » service delivers excellent food from a various menu list in less than 30 minutes, which is remarkable. The resort organised a BBQ during our stay in which we participated, again the food was excellent (lot’s of sea food including lobster but also different sorts of Thai food), and the show (Thai dancing and fire show) was amazing!
If you are looking for a place to stay that will take your breath away this is the place to go!!
Thank you to the staff for making our stay unforgettable!
Fantastic experience with the hotel.
Highlight is the private infinity pool in the villa (301) which has uninterrupted views to the sea and sunset.
Room is very large and the bathroom is great - especially the giant bathtub.
Zest breakfast buffet has a good variety and all food was of good quality.
Jahn fine dining was OK, but felt expensive for the food/experience.
Enjoyed room service and dining privately in the outdoor setting.
Spa was fantastic, but feels too expensive for Thailand, even considering the location/setting.
Cooking class was disappointing - all ingredients were prepared, so it was simply throwing things into the wok/bowl, mix/stir, and serve. Chef didn't speak much English, so there was very little learning. Not worth my money in my opinion.
Free boat tour was great and well worth doing!
All staff were extremely good - especially my guest services manager Mini and host Kim. They made the experience very special and memorable!
Overall - no hesitation in returning - and note to self - won't be spending money at Jahn and Cooking Class next time!
Spectacular resort, set on a steep cliff side with amazing views over individual infinity pools out to sea. Really high quality room finish, great service and some free water sports (kayaks, SUP). Also free shuttle bus into the towns of Koh Samui as well as a free boat trip which were nice touches.
