Beautiful Vienna, situated in eastern Austria on the Danube River, has a unique energy, informed in part by its heritage of world-famous composers and writers. The stunning city also boasts an intriguing landscape of mountains, woodlands and river trails. Located in Margareten, a well-situated district of the capital, Austria Trend Hotel Ananas puts you among dozens of shops, bars and restaurants. A subway ride will take you to Schönbrunn Palace, the museum district, shops of mouthwatering chocolates, elegant cafés off of cobbled streets and lovely tree-lined parks.
At this four-star charmer, you’ll also find design that lets in lots of light and fuses traditional and modern aesthetics, setting the scene for a relaxing time during your city break. Rooms feature classic styles and modern amenities, for a comfortable and laid-back stay. To continue experiencing your setting, without having to leave, visit the sophisticated restaurant, which allows you to look out over the bustling surroundings while you dine – or head to the café-bar for a taste of the local coffeehouse culture.

Breakfast at Sonnenhof restaurant is a delight, what with an array of regional treats, fresh pastries, breads, mueslis and juices from a hot-and-cold buffet. The Johann Strauss Café offers coffees in every style; try the Einspänner with a slice of fruit cake on the side. Come evening, the Restaurant Moser serves a varied menu of local specialties, cooked-to-perfection steaks and delicious sweet dishes.
The hotel is just a short walk from the nearest subway station, offering instant access to the city’s social and cultural scene. The shops of Mariahilfer Straße and the eclectic food stalls of Naschmarkt can be reached on foot. For a truly romantic outing, nab yourself a seat at the State Opera for an evening.
How to Get There
Hotel: clean and friendly staff.
Room: Twin beds that we pushed together to make one bed. Our room had overlooked the small patio and apartment building across the way. The staff goes outside and uses it as a break area. It can be loud at times especially in the morning. Room hint: try to avoid rooms 175-179 if you don't want to have early morning noises.
Bathroom is compact -shower stall is small and this could be challenging for some individuals. Bring either your own washcloth or bath sponge to use.
Breakfast buffet: standard food choices provided (scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, bread, fruit and cereals). Staff is constantly refilling buffet as needed. Coffee machines available for your caffeine fix.
Location: is about 35-40 minutes (depending on how quickly you walk) to get into center city. The U4 is located outside of the hotel but its currently closed so the next station to use is Kettenbrückengasse and then it's only one stop to the Opera area. Might as well continue your walk. By walking you come across a market area for fresh food, drinks and other items. There are some local restaurants in walking distance of the hotel if needed.
This was a very nice hotel. It is a bit of a walk to the hop on hop off bus, but you get to go through a flea market that sells very good food at a cheaper price than you can get in the rest of the city. The hotel was very clean and the matresses and pillows were quite nice.
Great hotel. Staff very helpful especially Ahmed who started our day off by making you feel special. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms very clean. Ten minutes walk to the market twenty into the centre of Vienna walking. Lots to see and do.
