Beautiful Vienna, situated in eastern Austria on the Danube River, has a unique energy, informed in part by its heritage of world-famous composers and writers. The stunning city also boasts an intriguing landscape of mountains, woodlands and river trails. Located in Margareten, a well-situated district of the capital, Austria Trend Hotel Ananas puts you among dozens of shops, bars and restaurants. A subway ride will take you to Schönbrunn Palace, the museum district, shops of mouthwatering chocolates, elegant cafés off of cobbled streets and lovely tree-lined parks.
At this four-star charmer, you’ll also find design that lets in lots of light and fuses traditional and modern aesthetics, setting the scene for a relaxing time during your city break. Rooms feature classic styles and modern amenities, for a comfortable and laid-back stay. To continue experiencing your setting, without having to leave, visit the sophisticated restaurant, which allows you to look out over the bustling surroundings while you dine – or head to the café-bar for a taste of the local coffeehouse culture.
Classic rooms at Austria Trend Hotel Ananas combine traditionally inspired interiors with functional modern amenities. Each features wooden floors, sound-proofed windows, calming tones and large, comfortable beds to create a cozy atmosphere.
Breakfast at Sonnenhof restaurant is a delight, what with an array of regional treats, fresh pastries, breads, mueslis and juices from a hot-and-cold buffet. The Johann Strauss Café offers coffees in every style; try the Einspänner with a slice of fruit cake on the side. Come evening, the Restaurant Moser serves a varied menu of local specialties, cooked-to-perfection steaks and delicious sweet dishes.
The hotel is just a short walk from the nearest subway station, offering instant access to the city’s social and cultural scene. The shops of Mariahilfer Straße and the eclectic food stalls of Naschmarkt can be reached on foot. For a truly romantic outing, nab yourself a seat at the State Opera for an evening.
How to Get There
We stayed 3 nights at that hotel with my daughter in the end of April. The lobby was nice and homey and the staff was very helpful. Our room was located in 6th floor and it was neat and clean, a bit small though and the furnishings needed some updating. The beds and the bathroom were ok, I have nothing to complain for these. The hotel had a restaurant and a souvenir shop of its own, which was good. We didn’t have breakfast so I don’t know if it was good or not.
Only negative thing was that the metro station in front of the hotel was under reconstruction until 2020. There was no mention of it on the hotel website. Sure, I understand that this is not the fault of the hotel. Working was very noisy, they started to work very early in the morning (at 07.00 o’clock), and it lasted a long night until three o’clock (?). We were lucky because we had a room facing the courtyard, so the working noise did not bother us so much while we were sleeping. The view was not so flattering; there was only trash cans and other high flats.
The positive things instead was that the hotel was located near the center, only 15 minutes by walk. I would say that you don’t need any public transport ticket if you are going to stay here. It’s very easy to walk to the downtown; you just have to walk towards the fifth district (Margareten, just around the corner) and then along the long street and you are already there (at the Karlsplaz). Margareten is a very cozy area with its many restaurants and cafés and then there is some lovely little boutiques too. So if you are a fan of fashion and good food you will sure like this area. BUT, if you like to spend much time at the hotel, choose another hotel. This hotel can only be recommend for those who are interested in culture, architecture, shopping and good food and who only needs a place to stay at nights. Thank you Wien and Hotel Trend Ananas, Auf Wiedersehen !
A nice hotel with comfortable, well equipped rooms. The breakfasts are also good
The hotel is convenient for public transport. This will improve even more in February 2020 when the underground U Bahn station across the road from the hotel reopens.
I was staying with you as a Spanish group driver. Please train all the receptionists on how to behave (not as arrogant beasts) and what it is AETR and that drivers must follow the European Decree. Your arrogant receptionist not only cares that you have to stand and not go, but still threaten the police ... I have never experienced this behavior anywhere and I am disgusted ... I hope the receptionists will soon be trained to know what AETR is and how to behave to customers.
The worst hotel ever, Rude staff and very awful and small room, you can’t move and they added a third bed which made the room not acceptable, not recommended
And will never ever visit it again or let anyone i know to do it
No coffee machine, no glass and no water
Fantastic hotel, lovely rooms, clean and cosy!
Maids cleaned the room every day... very nice bar with staff who couldn’t do enough!
When we woke up for the airport at 3am, a chef went to bring us tea and coffee to go, with fresh cake! This was a really nice way to end the trip... would definitely return! Thank you
