How to Get There
Well situated, superbly clean with excellent food and very friendly staff.
Rated 4 and not 5 only due to the fact there was no fridge nor drinks facilities in the room itself.
A minor detail but would have completed our stay 🙂
The location is good, close to the Westbahnhof, but the sleeping quality is very bad, because of
1) the room was much too hot. Really impossible to have a good night's sleep. I heard from other guests that this was throughout the entire hotel
2) the bed was too hard. Very difficult to find a good sleeping position
The room was ok, pretty basic, but ok.
The best part of the hotel is the breakfast : complete choice and excellent quality.
Great location only a short walking distance from Westbahnhof station. Only a few stops on U-bahn 3 to landstrasse which is Vienna city centre.
Floor 3, spacious, clean and airy. Beds however are not double. The hotel only do twin beds which you have to push together. The beds are really soft and not very comfortable. Pillows are thin and not fluffy. You get 2 single quilts rather than a double. So not the greatest when this is a short city break 2 days after getting married!! I did let the hotel know beforehand but they said nothing. After seeing the beds upon check-in I called down to reception only to be informed that they don't have any double beds. They can be pushed together of we wanted though! Although to be honest we only rested our heads at night we spent every day out exploring.
Samsung TV on the wall. But only BBC world news was in English. Air con in the room didn't work and it got really warm at night but we were able to open the window in the room. In fact the window opens out like a door which could be dangerous
By the bed there are reading lights and plenty of plug sockets and even usb ports for direct charging if required.
Bathroom was clean with shower gel and shampoo provided
Restaurant, gym & jacuzzi. Only used the restaurant for breakfast whilst there for 3 days so can't comment on the other facilities. Restaurant do have a happy hour at a certain time.
Best thing in the hotel was the breakfast starting from 6.30am till 10am. You can make your own waffles with a wide variety of toppings. Fruit, yoghurt and cereal available as well as a wide choice of cheeses and meats. Big doughnuts, croissants and pastries on offer too. Most definitely one of the best breakfast selections I've seen. All aspects of a full English available except fried eggs. Although I'm sure you could possible ask for one. The beans in Austria seem to cooked in tinned tomatoes with onion cut into them. No hash browns but you do get rosemary and thyme roast potatoes instead! Good selection of tea and varieties of coffees as well as loaves and breads on offer in a lovely restaurant. Excellent breakfast! I've added as many photos as I can!
Stayed for a few days while on holiday and this place was perfect. Not in the exact center but very well connected by tram and metro. The U is right outside the door and connects everywhere you want to be. It is just s short walk to Mariahilfer which has many shops, cafes and places to eat. We felt quite safe walking all times of the day. The room was a good size and the beds were VERY comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was amazing. The breakfast was a buffet with a ton of options. No matter your tastes, they have it covered. I found the staff very friendly and pleasing. I would return to this hotel and recommend.
The hotel is walking distance to the Westbanhof making it ideal for travel around Vienna. Catch the 60 tram to Schonbrunn palace or the U3 around the city. Ideal for the trip to the airport as well. You can easily walk into the city centre and enjoy the little side streets. The breakfast buffet is big and there is plenty of choice. Overall the hotel is really nice, the rooms are clean and well kept.
There are loads of cafes and restaurants within 5-10 minutes, so you should be spoiled for choice
