Disappointed
Reviewed 1 month ago

Booked at least 8 months in advance. Notified on booking that it was our 10 year wedding anniversary and I wanted it to be special. Upon checking in reception was unattended and we had to call and wait for staff to come down to check us in. We checked in with no issue however upon arriving to our room we heard very loud water running right through the wall at the bed head. Called reception to advise me was told that yes this is an issue in this room when raining heavily... was told no other rooms at all were clean and we would have a 2 hour wait for a new room. As I own an accommodation cleaning business I wished to be respectful and not use anything bar sitting on the couch and the toilet... 2.5 hours later (after we had driven 5 hours to get to "resort") I called again to be told it would be another 30 minutes. I went for a walk around the building to see the cleaners only just going to clean our next room. 15 minutes they took... and boy was it obvious. Glasses were not clean, dishwasher still had previous guests food scraps in it, coffee machine had previous guests used pods in it, fridge had crumbs in, decorative bowls were dusty, glass sliding doors finger prints all over them, skirting boards covered in dust, shower glass not clean on one side, table had marks on it, door tracks were full of dirt, bugs, moths and dust, bathroom sink didnt drain properly until I cleaned it, 6 sugars for a 3 night stay... the list goes on. 2 small, baubley hard towels supplied. The spare blanket in the cupboard was atrocious and I washed and dried it myself prior to use on the foldout couch... which had someone elses used sheets on it and was literally falling apart - not comfortable to sit on when folded up nor to lay on when unfolded. I requested new sheets and mattress protector from reception which arrived 45 minutes later.
Day 2 came and we were treated to lunch from QT to "make up" for issues prior day, which we were happy and appreciated very much. However there was not much to chose from off the small lunch menu but what we had was enjoyable. When we returned housekeeping had been but did not make up our bed, didnt replenish any supplies the only way I could tell they'd been was we had 2 new small hard baubley towels.
Cleanliness throughout the entire building is lacking. Plaster and dirt that were on the floor in entrance and reception areas upon checkin were still there when we checked out. Handles to doors were sticky and clearly not wiped, beautiful mirrored entryway and elevator would look amazing.... if it wasnt covered in fingerprints.
Hard bed, view lacking from 3rd floor replacement room compared to what we had in initial 5th floor room. Balconies need a scrub, gutter seen from balcony in room 305 needs a good clean, bottles, dirt and cigarette butts weren't very appealing.
Despite the websites stating the massage places were open there is a sign on the door stating the spa reopens when the snow comes back, construction works outside was constant every day of our stay - not so relaxing and enjoyable trying to relax in the hot tub listening to drills and construction workers yelling back and forth to each other.
Tv reception was appalling and cut out constantly. Tv speaker vibrates and drones. Beds dont have electric blankets, floor heating was nice when it was on - no instruction on how to control it and only a small panel heater in the bedroom - no other heating. Rainwater shower head needs more pressure as had to spend way too much time trying to rinse the shampoo out of my hair with the slow water pressure. Bed was very hard, doona not very thick or warm. Checked out early Friday morning - honestly glad to be going home.. drove 5+ hours home to discover our credit card had been charged $76 even though I was advised account was definitely all paid up upon check in, and we definately didnt use anything from the very overpriced minibar. Upon calling I was told a glitch had happened and charged our card and that it was to be refunded. Refund has now been processed but that was just the icing on the cake of an absolutely dismal stay at QT Falls Creek and I would never recommend anyone stay unless they like paying absolute top dollar for an uncomfortable unclean overpriced room. We will not be back and am so disappointed after being so excited for so long about what I thought was going to be a 5 star resort treat for our 10 year wedding anniversary.

Anniversary weekend

Room was great apart from the spa running all night , eventually got up and turned it off at the main , the couch was also a pull out sofa bed , absolutely shocking to try and watch tv on and relax , need to replace these for something comfortable, bazaar could do with a really good clean and new carpet as the smell was very obvious when we walked in , however Ange was a very receptive and happy host

2 night Stay

We just spent enjoyable nights here , great location in the heart of Falls Creek. Very quiet at this time of year with just enough open to get by. Very clean apartment, comfortable bed, good kitchen. Heads up on the fuel , fill up in Mt Beauty or Omeo before you get there because there is none at Falls .

Great Location, not quite what I was expecting
Reviewed 2 months ago

The QT is in an amazing location, perfect for a weekend away at the snow.
Cleanliness was less that i expected from a 5 star property, there was a lot of damage to ceilings, we had no towels for the Spa and no shampoo to name a few things.
Definitely not the luxury experience I had been looking forward to.

Spring Weekend at the best on-mountain accommodation!

Staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast spread was bountiful and tasty. Great location on the mountain, close to lifts, restaurants and the carpark. Apartment was clean and nicely furnished. Loved the hot tub too! Would DEFINITELY book with QT again!
