How to Get There
Wonderful hotel in Victoria’s inner harbour, on a quiet, pretty side street. Clean, tastefully decorated room. Nice view. The staff was superb. Super pet friendly, when we arrived in our room, there was a greeting card and dog treats for our dog and fresh apples for us. The Bistro served delicious food and great coffee. We were in town for heart surgery, it was a scary time, the Oswego was a comforting home away from home. Thank you to everyone who made this a pleasant, memorable stay for us. We will definitely be back.
I really love this hotel. I feel I come home and can stay here for months. Booked a studio suite, the bath room is huge. Shower and bath are separate. Love the setting. I’ll definitely choose Oswego again when I come to Victoria
My husband and I chose the Oswego when taking the Clipper package on a recent trip from Seattle to Victoria and—so glad we did. It was a cool, rainy weekend, but the fire was always going in the lobby fireplace when we returned from a day of sightseeing, and the live piano on Sunday night was a special treat. We had a lovely corner room filled with windows, which was exceptionally quiet at night.
I stayed at the Oswego Hotel last weekend for a quick mini-vacation. I LOVE this place. Booked a premium 1-bedroom suite which was on the 9th floor. It had a wonderful covered balcony with peek-a-boo views of the inner harbor and the ocean. Balcony had a small table and two chairs. It looked directly towards the Parliament building. The kitchen had a full size fridge, stove/oven and dishwasher. Spacious bathroom with a huge deep tub which I took long baths in after exploring the city. Plus, there was a shower. The bed was so comfortable I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. The suite was peaceful and quiet and being on the 9th floor didn't hear any street noise, not that you really would since the hotel in located a block and a half off the inner harbor and any main street. Loved that there were two ceiling fans in the unit - one in the bedroom and the other in the living room. I could also get fresh air out on the balcony.
Located in the inner harbor the Oswego is a short walk to Parliament, Royal Museum, the Empress Hotel and downtown shopping district. Parking was underground and $15 per day. The front desk folks were very pleasant and one night helped me to order from a local restaurant that literally delivered to my hotel room door.
I was traveling alone and as a female I'm always cautious about entering hotel rooms. Immediately when entering my room at the Oswego all worry was put to rest as they had turned on soft lighting in the living room and bedroom. They even had turned on a local easy-listening radio station. I was really impressed and immediately felt like I was at home.
Thanks for a wonderful weekend. Already planning to return in the fall.
I can full recommend this Hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful, The hotel is easily accessible from Clipper from Seattle and the V2V to Vancouver. It's also easy to get from the Hotel to the centre of the town.
