How to Get There
We recently stayed at the Hotel Grand Pacific as part of a Victoria Clipper 2 night package. We had a Queen with a balcony overlooking the Inner Harbour while our daughter & family had a King Suite with a harbor view balcony. The rooms were wonderful...clean, nicely decorated & very roomy! The hotel is conveniently located a block from the Clipper terminal, across from the Government House, a block from the Empress Hotel & BC Museum & stop for buses to Butchart Gardens & Butterfly Conservatory. Chinatown is a 15 minute walk. There are several totem poles & dolphin statues nearby and the path along the harbor is across the street. The hotel clerks were wonderful! We ordered room service several times as it was convenient with baby sleeping times. We were able to overlook a bike race from our balcony on Sunday-very cool! Highly recommend as our stay was a great experience with great location!
This hotel was first rate and a great value. Our room was well-appointed and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed having cocktails or coffee on our balcony overlooking the Inner Harbour, and being able to simply take the elevator down to the gym and pool area that included a steam room, sauna, and whirlpool. We find such amenities are often at a separate location or available only at extra cost. Here, they were included in the room charge, conveniently located, and beautiful. Great breakfast buffet with attentive service. A fun evening with live music in the bar. The concierge, whose name unfortunately I did not take note of, was fabulous, as were all other staff with whom we interacted.
This is a great place to stay in Victoria. Conveniently located with comfortable rooms and a very friendly helpful staff. The view was amazing. The breakfast was pricy but tasty. Would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Victoria.
A huge shoutout to Murray McMullen, Concierge at the Hotel Grand Pacific. He was the best Concierge on our entire tour of Canada. Knows Victoria very well and can guide you to an outstanding visit. The Hotel Grand Pacific is a very nice hotel, large rooms, Harbor views (fun to watch the ferries and Harbour Air planes land), clean, and a nice balcony to relax on. Bathrooms are nice size too. We enjoyed two days at this hotel on our Canadian tour. Breakfast was very good, and dinner was really good downstairs. Can get crowded as other tour operators house their patrons at this hotel so go to breakfast a little early. Can walk to anywhere downtown easily from this location. Very relaxing stay.
We had a conference in Seattle and decided to do an overnight to Victoria. Clipper there and Seaplane back. Our intentions were to find a nice Hotel, for mostly convenience as we were not renting a car. As it turns out, this Hotel was as nice as the Empress (my opinion), with excellent customer support all the way and including The Housekeepers! I researched the other hotels and even picked another, however it had construction going on. SOOOO glad they did or I may have missed this one!
