The Lowdown

There are few cities on the planet more swoon-worthy than Verona, the ravishing setting for Shakespeare’s tragedy about star-crossed teenage lovers Romeo and Juliet. A UNESCO-listed gem that claims to have more Roman ruins than anywhere else in Italy other than Rome, it’s forever hailed as one of the most likely places for people to fall in love.

So for those who want to up the ante on the romance front, this modish four-star bolthole on the city’s outskirts is a cool pick. Days can be spent blissing out in the wonderful spa, working out in the fitness room, and venturing into the fair city to leave soppy notes in the courtyard at Casa di Giulietta beneath the very spot where Romeo declared his love. And obviously ignoring the fact that the balcony was added in the 20th century and the whole story was, of course, fiction.
The bedrooms tick all the boxes too with carpeted or hardwood flooring, soothing hues, and lots of contemporary Italian design flourishes. There’s also an elegant restaurant for delectable Italian gourmet cuisine, a poolside eatery that opens during the warmer months, and a funky deli bar that’s the perfect spot to sink a few pre- and post-dinner cocktails.

Great Hotel Value for money

Fantastic 3 night stay. Lovely clean hotel and staff were very polite and very accommodating. The Spa is a bonus. Continental breakfast was lovely.

The hotel provide a free shuttle bus service that takes you into the city centre as the hotel is approx 20 mins from town. You need to hook your place on the bus. We booked ourselves on the bus the day before. The first bus to the city is 9am and the last bus back is 7.20. The bus was always on time and we. Poked the bus on the last day to take us to the airport.

What an amazing stay. Great for a little romantic get away.

Fabulous hotel with one snag

Just returned from a week here with my daughter
Pros- as mentioned by others, the staffwere all amazing and couldnt do enough for us . Courteous , well presented very friendly I felt really valued as a guest.
All the communal areas were exceptionally clean, our room was fine although a balcony would have been welcomed, plus I brought a travel kettle as another contributor had mentioned they weren't supplied( thank you TripAdviser) free bottles of water were provided daily , and some lovely biscuits appeared in our room o e day - gratis.
We were really impressed with the spa and indoor pool Which was very relaxing and free to use, and we also spent some time round the outdoor pool which again was very clean ( tho a little noisy with planes taking off and traffic noise) I was very bitten by mosquitoes but I guess that is just bad luck!
Cons- this might not be an issue for some but the location of the hotel and the shuttle bus was a problem . I did not want to pay €20 each way into Verona and back , but it was not possible to spend a relaxing day around the pool And then go into the town at night as the last bus returned at 7.20pm. Days needed to be planned ahead around the shuttle bus, and public transport was also not so frequent, I found we were often rushing in order to catch the bus back, sometimes the bus we wanted to get was fully booked, and I felt a little trapped sometimes. In mitigation we did discover a small village nearby with some restaurants and bars- the closest restaurant served prosecco at €2 a glass- happy days!
Overall we had a great holiday with relatively easy access to Venice( too busy) and Lake Garda from Verona train station , where it was possible to be dropped off Verona itself is a very beautiful city, and I would recommend this hotel , with these reservations.

Lovely staff, great accommodation, couldn't fault it! *****

The service from the staff at this hotel was second to none, they couldn't do enough for us. We were well cared for by the kind, professional employees.
Our rooms were very clean and well stocked, the air con was very welcome.

The location close to the airport meant no long transfer time, we were collected within 15 mins by the hotel minibus, our rooms were ready early so we could check in straight away. Close to Verona and we went by train from Verona to Milan, Venice & Lake Garda.

Both the bar and restaurant had great menus and meant there was always options and we were never hungry or thirsty. Breakfast was always delicious with plenty of choice.

Overall extremely pleased and enjoyed our holiday. Thank you!
