How to Get There
This was my first trip to Venice and I wasn't disappointed. I did a lot of research on Hotels and this was one that stood out to me. On arrival to Marco Polo airport, I arranged the Hotels private transfer. It was really lovely, the first part was by car then you are dropped off to go on your private taxi. I would highly recommend it, however It IS expensive but to be honest, anywhere in Venice is. The cost was €150 one way but arriving to the Hotel by water was great! The staff were all lovely and you can see they work hard. I must mention our private barman Guerrino who created some wonderful cocktails and the food was amazing. The Hotel is a true beauty and captures the essence of Venice.
The rooms are lovely but if you want a large amount of space, go for a suite. They were generous in size and grandeur. The bath is lovely and deep too!
The breakfast is good but limited in choice. It's also a rather small space when the Hotel is busy. However, I know the Hotel is planning to change this. My only real criticism is the free shuttle to Murano Island. The Hotel offer it, however I don't put the responsibility on them as it's free choice. What I wasn't prepared for was the hard sell in the Murano Glass Warehouse. I thought it was a free shuttle to the Island but on arrival we were met by guides, who took a group of us in to the warehouse. We watched the glass being made, which was good but then it was a little herding in to the shop. The items were beautiful and it was lovely to see. However, it became quite a hard sell, quite quickly. This made the trip rather disappointing. When I asked about visiting the Island, it was a rather short sharp response. I think that should be mentioned when people are interested in the free shuttle. Sleep wise, we were on the first floor and it was rather noisy on the floorboards but to be honest, it wasn't something I was surprised about. Being a 15th century building.
The location of the Hotel is perfect for anywhere you want to go. My advice to anyone visiting Venice is get lost in the lanes and have plenty of stops in the local cafes.
I would stay here again and would recommend this Hotel to anyone.
Lovely hotel, nice rooms to sit and relax in. Central enough location in a quiet square.
Ideal for a couple than a family.
Breakfast not included in our room but kettle in room and gave us an opportunity to explore local cafe.
Not much in terms of bars or restaurants in close proximity especially open late but a few 5-10minutes walk away.
Great hotel, excellent reception with friendly helpful staff. Hotel is in a good central location in a lovely square. Just perfect for a Venice short break. Room was very good and great value for money.
I would recommend this hotel to any one, we had a great room, service and position was great to get to all the main sight seeing.
Blooming great !
Went in February 2019 and missed all the crowds, still busy and a little chilly but sunny every day.
Booked this hotel through a travel company for a fantastic price. Saw some negative reviews about the rooms on the ground floor, so we emailed to request one of the nicer ground floor rooms.
The room we got was exactly what we needed for our stay. The room was clean and the amenities were good. The staff were extremely polite and very helpful. The hotel was in a great location, 5 min walk from Rialto bridge. I would love to see what some of the more expensive rooms looked like, I am sure they are amazing. If I was visiting Venice again I would 100% stay here.
