How to Get There
We stayed in this hotel for five nights and it was very comfortable and quiet. There was a happy hour at the weekend and the internal courtyard was cute. Our room was well equipped and looked over the canal (make sure you shut your windows as the boats start early). We didn’t have a shower, which was slightly odd but it certainly isn’t a deal breaker. In a good spot for all the top tourist attractions as well.
We came in January for a business trip with a couple of extra days for doing touristy stuff. Very quiet at that time of the year. The staff were very helpful, friendly and definitely looked after us during our stay.
We stayed in the romantic suite which was stunning. Very high ceilings yet still felt cosy, the personal sauna came in handy for sweating out the hangover from consuming far too many cocktails at the bar the night before.
The view from the room overlooked one of the many canals.
Very easy access to the entire city on foot, found a fantastic restaurant just around the corner also.
We recently stayed at the 2 bed apartment as part if liassidi which is across the way down a small side street. At first we were pleasantly surprised at the size however then the smell of the second bathroom came on strong. It drunk of dirty drains/sewerage and was so strong we kept the door shut and used the one bathroom. You expect smelly drains when it's hot but not in Feb. The smell was also present in the living room. The apartment above was privately owned and either had a child or massive dog running about from about 6 til 9pm and the lights and ceiling shook constantly. You heard them walking and jumping about about. Also be prepared to be woken up by the board outside the window which seem to stop about midnight and start at 4.30am. Something which is expected in Venice but some boats are loud and windows don't block out the noise. We tried calling reception to report smell but phone didn't work in the room. So rather than pack up all our things we left it. We didn't have any beds made or towels changed in 4 days which was odd. Felt very separate from the hotel. Even on checkout he just said we needed to pay the tax and said goodbye. No mention of was everything ok and did you enjoy your stay? Generally customer services isn't great in Venice. The plus side to the hotel was that it was pretty and had a nice outside area to have a coffee or drink at night with pretty fairy lights. Also I found hotel to be in a great location. Amazing place called crazy bar just a 1 min walk away which had brilliant crepes and omelettes for breakfast. Excellent customer service and cheap too.
Stayed for 4 nights - We snagged a room that overlooked the canal it was a good standard of room with nice Venetian style decor and was clean albeit a little small. It is a very old building so I am guessing that the renovation would have dictated room sizes. Having said that we were not unhappy. The bathtub was also a spa bath with a shower built in (no separate shower). It was one of those handheld types which was a bit annoying
We did not do the in-house breakfast as there were a couple of nice cafes nearby, nice to do it the way the locals do it.
You should find a bar called Bacaro Risorto ( Address Venezia- Castello Campo S. Provolo - 5 minutes from the hotel) and order an Aperol spritz- it's sensational! They also do Tapas which were delicious.
Good location, just a 10-minute walk to St Mark's, other land marks and close to public transport (boat) piers and 25 minutes to the other end of the island. It was January so the tourists were not too bad - it must be a nightmare in the summer.
The hotel was offering a complimentary water taxi to the Murano Glass factory which is a must see.
Overall we were happy with this Hotel and would recommend it
We travelled as 2 couples and stayed here for 3 nights during January to celebrate my 50th birthday. We chose this hotel as I wanted to arrive directly from the airport by water taxi and they have a private water taxi dock. We received a warm welcome on arrival and had actioned my request for our 2 rooms to be close together even though we had booked different standards of room. Our first room had a lovely view of the canal but unfortunately only had a small shower and as baths are "my thing" we asked reception to find another room for us. The staff very kindly moved us to a suite the following day which had a fab Jacuzzi bath. Breakfasts were good with lots of choice. Location was also good with a 5 - 10 minute walk to Piazza San Marco once we had got our bearings. We had cocktails during happy hour on our fist night which were fantastic and made with such care and finesse served with complimentary nibbles. If you are looking for a bit of comfort in Venice without breaking the bank then this is the hotel for you.
