How to Get There
I gave it a 4 star because of the room. It was spacious with a decent sized bathroom. However, there wasn't much sunlight coming thru the tiny corner window and the large dark armoire didn't help either. Other than that, it is a great location to St. Mark's Square ( 5 minute walk). The staff was wonderful and the breakfast even had a waffle maker! Although wish there were gluten free items.
Great Location and in close proximity to St. Marks Square...
We have been staying at this Hotel for the past four (4) years...
Staff is very personable and accommodating...
Rooms are spacious and always clean...
Back of Hotel is on one of the canals which makes it romantic and memorable when the Gondola's go by with the singers & musicians are performing...
We spent 3 night at Saturnia. It's location is excellent and very close to St Mark's Square and other key sites. The hotel is very comfortable and the service is excellent. The included breakfast was great and there is also a very nice bar on site
Hotel Saturnia deserves more than 5 stars!! The hotel is beautiful, food in the restaurant was wonderful..Nicola is a trip!! However the concierge Andrea was absolutely the most wonderful man I have ever met. We arrived in Venice on Thursday June 28th with NO luggage. For the next 2 days we basically lived in the lobby. 10am as soon as Andrea saw us coming down the stairs he got right on the phone (all 4 lines) and would start ringing the airlines for us, and it would continue for about 5 hours!! He stuck by us and tried to do everything possible. Andrea and the Gondola boats outside our beautiful balcony room every morning made our entire trip!!!
However even though the airlines kept telling us you will have your luggage tomorrow, we never actually received it for 8 days!!! Andrea we love you and thank you again for everything you are amazing and amazing at what you do!!! Nicole & Bob Burns
I chose this hotel for the central location. We were wanting to visit the museums in the area. The price was very reasonable. There is a gondola stop out the back door. Very handy to be picked up & dropped off. The front desk staff went above & beyond their duties to assist me with airport transfers, etc. They presented us with maps of the area & recommended different points of interest. They kept our luggage as we arrived quite early in the morning. We just got off a cruise ship. There was a lovely little bar where we had excellent wine & quite a reasonable price, too. Our room was incredibly spacious (by European standards) with a huge sitting area, massive bathroom & an area that resembled a front foyer. There was complimentary coffee & tea in the hall way, too. But the best amenity was the buffet breakfast which is included in the price. It was outstanding with fresh waffles, endless amount of fruits, cereals, eggs, bacon, sausages, toast & even delicious cakes! The coffee was served in a lovely silver pot with the hot milk in another silver pot. Just great!
