Of all the places in Venice I have to randomly pick this one and I’m glad I did!

So here’s what you want to know, not what Rocko the waiters Was like as you will find that out yourselves. Although they were very nice.
Stayed for two nights in this well placed hotel. 5 mins to st Marks by foot and right on the stop for the water buses, which are 7.50 euros for a single trip. So if you catch a road bus from the airport and a water bus from the bus terminus in Venice it will cost around 15 euros one way. But you can get a return fare on the road bus a little cheaper.
There are two parts of the hotel, the main hotel and a annex round the corner which has a bar and snacks. The Annex is the place you have to go for breakfast. So you have to leave the main hotel to walk for breakfast, only takes a minute to walk.
Breakfast is fine, cold meats and cheese with boiled or scrambled eggs. Fresh fruit and yogurts plus pastries fruit juice and endless tea and coffee.
You can also order lattes and cappuccinos for free.
The only problem was not a lot of room to move around the buffet bars and small spaces between tables.
We stayed in the annex part which was fine, room clean and tidy and great shower, bed a little hard but that’s just me. They have little bottles of shower gel and shampoo in the room but only enough for one shower, so if there’s two of you ??
Tea and coffee in room but no milk.
Very nice place to stay and I recommend

Great canal view !!

We stayed for 3 nights and it was in a great location - straight off the ferry - and our room had views of the canal. It was a decent sized room and great bathroom. The breakfast was good. We were close to St Marks Square and loved getting lost in the streets of Venice. We found the staff to be welcoming and helpful!!

Great hotel for price, location and service

For the price paid, Hotel Paganelli greatly exceeded my expectations. You can’t beat the location, right across from the canal, vaporetti stop right outside and quick walk to st marks square and doges palace.

We booked a superior double room, which had a lovely balcony. But it was a tiny room, my husband barely fit on the bed, so my advice for a room is try to update to waterfront. The room itself was spotless, not entirely noiseproof to other rooms but when the balcony door was closed it was very noiseproof to the outside. Our balcony overlooked other apartments but it wasn’t a noisy spot (apart from church bells but that’s Italy!). Room had a good safe, ample hanging space and charge spots.

We were offered a late checkout due to being premium Expedia members (which I booked through), and staff were very friendly and happy to help. There was also a lovely welcome gift.

We found the breakfast to be good, a selection of hams, cereals, granola, yoghurt and pastries. They also made a good cappacino. We had to check out prior to breakfast on our last day and the staff put together a breakfast pack to go which was a lovely touch!

Would definitely stay here again.
