How to Get There
My husband and I spent 3 nights here after a 10 day cruise. We absolutely loved the location. Our room overlooked the Lagoon which we thoroughly enjoyed. We could open the windows to see and hear the sights and sounds of the area. The room was quiet with the windows closed. The room was comfortable, spacious bathroom, and large closet. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
We had booked this for an night travelling through Venice. We had booked a inner court view but not an upgrade to a lagoon view family room. Lovely spacious room with amazing views across the lagoon. Staff were very friendly and helpful with how to get around the city. The hotel was right next to the stop for the airport boat transfer so no need to hump the bags far.
Currently staying in this hotel. I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel could not have a better position and the view from our room (216) is incredible! Arrived at the airport and straight on to the Alilaguna to San Zaccaria. The stop is right in front of the hotel. The Doges palace and San Marco are less than five minutes walk. Cannot fault the hotel or staff. I will definitely use this hotel again when I return to Venice. Photos are all views from our room.
Had a fantastic 3 night stay here, lovely comfortable rooms, would highly recommend and will be visiting again. Excellent location for the sights and water taxi stations, only a very short walk to the square and Basilica,
So we stayed at the Hotel Paganelli whilst on our road trip around Italy for a night in Venice. After looking at many hotel options we decided to go with the Paganelli as the location looked great and the price was also very appealing.
On arrival into Venice at the Santa Lucia train station we hopped on the Vaporetto line 2 all the way to Piazza San Marco which took around 15 minutes total (if the number 2 line is busy take the number 1 line, it too goes the same way but a lot of people default to line 2 as it states San Marco on the destination). Once we disembarked right next to the Doges palace, the hotel was a 5 minute walk along the water front over 2 bridges. The location is absolutely awesome, right next to St Marks square it makes it a perfect central location for walking around the city.
On arrival to the hotel we were met with a very warm welcome and advised we could check in, in an hour or so as we were a little early. We were offered to leave our bags and given access to the WiFi should we have wanted to relax in the reception area. We decided to walk around in San Marco for a little while before returning to check in properly.
Once checked in the receptionist walked us around the corner to the annex building where we were staying. The annex is literally a 30 second walk from the reception building and really not an issue. It actually makes it quieter of an evening which is better for sleep quality.
The room was up 2 flights of stairs and being an annex building was much younger and more modern than the room's offered in the main building. It was clean, quiet and relaxed which was superb for our stay. The bathroom was modern, super clean, featured a huge walk in rain shower which was amazing after a 4 hour train journey and a long day walking around in the sun, The room featured free tea and coffee, plenty of amenities and more plug sockets than we could use! The WiFi was also really strong in the room which was great for updating family and friends of an evening.
The room featured complimentary continental breakfast which was on the ground floor of the annex building. The breakfast was good with an array of options, a great way to start the day ahead of plenty of exploring. The staff at the hotel were all very helpful cheery and super friendly making the hotel that much more than it could have been on its own.
All in all the hotel was inexpensive and cheerful, modern and did what it needed to do! The location is superb and the sleep quality couldn't have been better.
