Best hotel staff and view I have ever experienced.

Words can not even express all of the positive feelings about staying at this hotel, from the moment we arrived until we departed on our cruise. At check in, Daniel greeted us by name (even before we identified ourselves) and was perfect throughout our stay of two fabulous nights. We received the room I had requested, a room with a view of Venetian Canal and it was even better than expected. We were on the 3rd floor with a commanding view of the large canal and the canal adjacent to the hotel, four windows in all. The room was spacious, well decorated and the bathroom as well.

Breakfast was provided in the morning downstairs and was enough to provide us with what we needed for the day before exploring Venice. On both nights we visited the outdoor rooftop bar to enjoy the sunset and view the canal. It was a view I will always cherish. Also, a special thanks to the wonderful service we received from Rodney on both nights. His service was perfect and our conversations were enjoyable. We mentioned that we would be leaving Venice on our cruise and as we passed the hotel on our cruise ship, there was Rodney waving vigorously to us once he spotted us waving from the ship. What a final and lasting memory of this fabulous hotel!

In closing, I honestly can say enough about our perfect experience at this quaint and well located hotel. I would easily stay here again, over and over. Thank you again to Daniel and Rodney for contributing to our experience.

Great Position

We have been to Venice several times before and it is fair to say that this hotel is certainly in the most convenient location we have ever experienced . Its entrance ,sitting room and breakfast room are all stylish and comfortable . The breakfast was good . The staff were helpful and knowledgeable . Our room was attractive and clean and had a small balcony ( not really for sitting on ) which overlooked the Lido and a canal. We ate in the rooftop restaurant one night and it is a delightful setting in which to eat and watch the sun sink over the Lido. The food , wine and service were very good . We were not surprised to find Venice was much more crowded than when we have gone before later in the year but we did feel overwhelmed at times by the amount of large cruise ship groups passing the front of the hotel all day .

Wonderful in every way!

Our 2nd stay at Locanda Vivaldi & wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Venice! 5 mins walk from St Mark’s Square & right on the Grand Canal. Very comfortable rooms & friendly helpful staff - notably Egor & Rodney who remembered us from 4 yrs ago! A bottle of prosecco on ice waiting for us when we got back to our room on our 1st day was a lovely touch for being a repeat guest. Looking forward to our next visit!

Fabulous location & great staff

What a lovely old building with good facilities. Its right on the grand canal. Gorgeous views from the terrace. The staff are terrific and try very hard to please. We received an upgrade for a few nights so had a lovely room with a view. The other room was a bit dark but hey, you get what you pay for so if you want a view from your room you need to pay for it.

Great Location, superb view, nice hotel

Just returned from Venice, our first visit and hotel selection is important, well after using TA, reading the reviews of the hotel, we selected this one. We were not disappointed at all, we had asked for a Lagoon view and we got it, the hotel has a welcoming atmosphere, pleasant staff who are willing to help and assist. The rooftop terrace is an added bonus, where you can either eat or just go for a drink, and soak up the sun and the view. Location is excellent, just a short walk away from St Marks sq. You will know that it takes a bit from reading my reviews I don't give 5 stars very often so this is one I would recommend to anyone
Only downside I can advise is we had a first floor room, right by a bridge, where there is a temporary ramp which allows access for wheelchairs etc. Problem is it's used by everyone and its noisy especially at night
