Faded gentility, but exceeded expectations

This hotel is in a perfect position. We got a Water Bus from Marco Polo Airport and got off at Madonna stop. It's just a very short walk over 2 streets and small bridges and you are there. Given the fact that all over Venice, tourists were getting lost up tiny alleys and turnings trying to find hotels, this hotel is easy to find and has a distinctive frontage. We walked from the hotel to main sites all over Venice and longest walk was 1.5 hours to St Mark's Square - mainly due to us getting lost. We walked from the hotel to Bridge of Gargoyles in 20 mins. Leonardo da Vinci Museum in 30 mins. Rialto Bridge 40 mins. Church were Titian the painter is buried 25 mins. Various eateries and bars within mins of this hotel.

We had a suite room and although no views from windows was massive and very very comfy. Bed was good. 2 x TVs in the room, one in the bed area and one in the living room which also had large velvet sofa.

Hotel and rooms a bid faded gentility but oh so clean and comfy.

Bar staff are excellent and are trained to old-fashioned service levels and have real barman expertise. Where else would the bar staff make a real gin and tonic by crushing and flaming the spices?

Breakfast was was filling and lots of it, bar meals filling and delicious - with special note to the mushroom pasta. Large portions as well.

Outside hotel, tables are set up for meals and drinks along a canal. Fontage of hotel very attractive with plants etc. Very oriental.

We have stayed in modern hotels in venice, we have stayed in super expensive ones, we will however have no hesitation in going back here on our next visit to venice.

Gem of a hotel

Fantastic hotel. It was our second visit and we had advised the hotel that we were celebrating our Silver Wedding anniversary. We were given a free upgrade to a suite plus a complementary bottle of prosecco, fruit bowl and biscuits. Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were excellent. We particularly like that the hotel is situated in the Cannaregio area which has a good vibe and a great choice of restaurants and bars. Within easy walking distance of all the main attractions but far enough away to instill a sense of calm and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of central Venice. Nothing better than sitting in their canal side terrace sipping a Bellini (best in Venice, made with fresh peaches) at the end of a busy day. We loved it and would highly recommend it.

Another perfect visit

This is the second summer I have spent some days at this beautiful hotel. The location is great, in Cannaregio out of the touristy sections of the city, my room was lovely, the service is impeccable, breakfast everything you could ask for. Going back again next summer.

Nice Hotel

Stayed 3 nights. Room lovely. Breakfast spot on and fresh with everything from cakes to croissants to fresh bread and great coffee. Hotel organised anything we needed from taxis to boat trips and all staff were attentive without being intrusive. Hotel is on the north side of the city and just far enough away from the busy streets to be a haven of quiet. Thank you

Lovely quiet hotel in beautiful Venice

What a gorgeous location, quiet and away from the crowds but still only a short walk to all of the main sights. The staff were polite and the hotel was pretty and very clean! Loved the shower and the room was small but still very nice! The bar was nice and sitting outside watching the world pass by on foot and on water was very relaxing. Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel.
