How to Get There
This hotel is a boat ride across the Guidecca canal on the mainly residential island of Guidecca. Although it was only early April it was already getting busy in Venice so being a boat ride away from the crowds was brilliant. Both the hotel and our cruise line operated frequent water buses across to Piazza San Marco.
The hotel is a massive renovated flour mill which had belonged to the richest man in Venice.
Excellent choice of food for breakfast. Choice of eateries on site or back across to the many choices in Venice.
We ate a good reasonably priced lunch on Guidecca surrounded by locals. Dinner at the hotel not cheap but excellent.
I’ve stayed here before without any problems. However, when a reservation issue has to be addressed, no one is available except by email which is an additional delay in response. Multiple emails and frustration have already clouded this experience. Surprising for a Hilton property.
Hilton Molino stucky Venice hotel is the best choice!! Beautiful hotel, amazing service, friendly and professional staff. We stayed 3 days we loved it. The hotel offers transportation to the center of Venice every 20 minutes and they charge a symbolic amount at the end of the stay. We had a very nice room with beautiful view. We spend our first night having dinner at Bacaromi restaurant. It is the best restaurant!! I totally recommend this hotel!!
Complimentary and regular shuttle to the main island. Large and well maintained ex flour mill so pleasing architecture. Can be rather soulless inside. Was booking for us by Viking cruises but was far better than their usual standard so we were pleasantly surprised.
Good room, excellent comfortable large bed. Poor tea making equipment and after 5 calls to room service and conversations still couldn’t get cold milk. No price lists of mini bar and very poor/ no in room information on location and facilities. Freezing cold shower on first day for no reason. Skyline bar uncomfortable seating and awful music that drives people out!!
All that said viewing Venice from Guidecca island is magical. The island is charming and away from the tourist haunts but well worth exploring.
Don’t let them seat you on the west side! We were not offered an option and we roasted! There are no shades for the sun, it was very uncomfortable. There is an east side which is shaded and we were not offered. Beware!
