How to Get There
Very close to the main train station and well located to explore Venice. We stayed 3 nights and found the room to be spacious with a large bathroom. Our room was on the ground floor which had one window opening onto the canal which was great. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommended.
This hotel is absolutely lovely perfectly situated just on the grand canal, stones throw from the main railway station and bus stops where you get off from the airport. we stayed in a superior room and it was absolutely delightful the staff very friendly the views from the garden are great the breakfast is really nice and great quality. The only thing I would like to say is that it would be nice to have a little area where you could have a drink late in the evening after going out,but they close the bar fairly early and there is not anywhere to sit and relax and enjoy your drink.
We stayed here for two nights when our return flight was cancelled. We moved over from our previous hotel at 10 am expecting to have to park our luggage until the afternoon, but instead we were shown a choice of Deluxe rooms. One was very spacious and had a circular bed, the other was roomy and had a terrace which overlooked the Grand Canal. We opted for the canal view and moved straight in.
The room we had was modern and clean with a Nespresso machine which meant you could make coffee and tea at any time. Even though it was January we sat outside and enjoyed the view over the lovely garden to the canal. The bed was in fact two singles fastened together which suited us a we like the extra space. The bathroom had a rainforest shower but no bath.
Breakfast was served in a bright and airy room downstairs and consisted of the usual fruit juices, tea and coffee, cold meat and cheese, scrambled egg and bacon and pastries.
The hotel location is excellent with many bars and restaurants within striking distance. It was very quite in the area when we were there in January but It would be a lot busier later in the year. I imagine the lovely garden overlooking the canal would be quite special in Summer, but we did hear that they have a lot of weddings there so it may not always be accessible.
Overall the staff pulled out all the stops for us in this lovely hotel. We had a few things that needed to be sorted out after our flight cancellation and the reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
We left via the hotel’s built in boat dock which made us feel like film stars ☺
The first film we watched when we got home was of course "Don't Look Back" and it was quite weird to see the hotel building in the opening scenes!
This is certainly a hotel I’d come back to and recommend.
Loved the location and amenities in terms of breakfast, the garden on the canal and it's own garage/dock for the water taxi. Very accommodating staff in terms of early arrival and providing recommendations and directions. Our room was nice but not completely functional. The room itself had little wardrobe space, a stunningly large bathroom with an unnecessary vestibule between room and bath, a very nice bed but the smallest shower ever made! Not only was the shower stall small, the doors barely slid open sufficiently to get in! We are not small people but we have never been challenged by a shower like this one. I believe the room number was 102 so when booking, one should beware of the small shower in this room. Not sure if they are in the hotel throughout.
Amazing stay! My husband and I were traveling in the area to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, and were booking hotels on the fly as we moved from city to city. We originally booked this hotel because of it's proximity to the train station. We arrived about 7 hours before our check in time, and the front desk was more than accommodating. We expected to drop our luggage off and then come back closer to check in time, but the staff went above and beyond and got us a room within only an hour or so. While we were waiting Narciso took us on a short tour of the building and told us a little about it's history. He also showed us a meeting room that still had original fireplaces and wall paper. He was very knowledgeable about the area, and offered up little tips to get us where we wanted to go, and a few little well known spots that he recommended. We were provided with a beautiful room on the bottom floor that over looked one of the gardens, where we enjoyed an afternoon drink several times. It had floor to ceiling windows right on the canal, and we enjoyed watching the morning boats on their deliveries. The garden sat right on the Grand Canal, and provided us the perfect relaxation spot. The entire staff was very attentive, and made us feel at home. The morning breakfast buffet and barista was amazing. Towards the end of our trip, Narciso helped us with getting our luggage picked up while we were out, and made sure we received all the accompanying paperwork. The property is beautiful and private. The hotel provided a really romantic atmosphere, and we had such a great experience. I would book here on every trip to Venice.
