How to Get There
Staying at this motel was a great choice. After we were there and came to understand the other choices we realised we had made a very good decision. Very convenient to the train sation and the room was very nicely set up. Fantastic breakfast provided and we were able to sit in the garden overlooking the Grand Canal watching the activity of the city. The room was very clean and well appointed. The staff very friendly. Highly recomended.
Our last few days in Italy was spent here and the staff were top notch. The front desk arranged a gondola to pick us up in the private dock. Breakfast in the garden overlooking the grand canal was a wonderful was to start to the day. Every request we had was answered with “of course”. I read the review on the rooms not looking the same as pictures which I would agree somewhat although our rooms were fine.
Hotel is located near the train station, it easily accessible, prefect if you prefer to live further from the buzz. Easy to get to everywhere via ferry.
The room I had is nothing like the pictures. So I guess it depends on your luck. Amenities in room is really basic. Only one iron in the entire hotel so be sure to pack clothes that do not need pressing.
Hairdryer is old and only works for a couple of minutes. It shuts off automatically and then you have to wait for a few minutes to work it again. Fairly frustrating for me as I rely on it to dry my hair. Breakfast is ok, nothing spectacular but decent.
Front desk service is dependent on who is there. The guy in the day is helpful and friendly. The lady at night not so. She gives me the impression that
she doesn’t like her job.
There was a power outage in the middle of the first night we were there but I believe they have a backup generator. The TV kept turning on and off as a result. There was no instructions on how to call the front desk although there is a cordless phone in my room. Our aircon wasn’t working on the second night so I had to walk down to ask the reception. She immediately said that out windows are not closed properly. Just close them and it will work. Even after doing that, the aircon didn’t work. It was late and I was tired so I didn’t bother to walk down again. Upon talking to the guy the next morning, I learnt that I need to reset the aircon (it was one of those older air con system) for it to work again. The lady could have told me last night as this is probably a common occurrence since she knew exactly why it didn’t work in the first place.
Well, just don’t expect this to be your normal hotel. It just one reception, no maintenance to help you if
you encounter any issues.
Overall, I would not recommend but maybe it’s because I didn’t get a good room.
