How to Get There
We stayed at Bellini as past of a tour group with Insight Vacations for two nights in mid-March 2019. As there were at least four groups at the hotel, I'm not certain how many rooms are available for individual rental.
Speaking with the other members of our group, the types and quality of rooms available at the hotel varied considerably. Some friends had a triple room with a large balcony overlooking the grand canal. Others had a first floor room with a window open to the noisy street. We had a second floor triple room that was two-story. The first floor contained the bathroom and a cot. No additional chair. No table to sit things on. Just a cot. The second floor contained a queen size bed and a desk, but the ceiling height was six feet (I'm 6'3"). As you can imagine, our experience was not as great as the experience of some others in our group.
The hotel is old, but everything is old in Venice. The furniture (what there was of it) has much wear and tear. But everything was clean (bathroom, bed, linens, etc). Despite the many quirks, this was a passable hotel for our two nights in the city.
One final note: it was impossible to shower without drenching the bathroom floor. The small plastic screen on the tub was simply not large enough to prevent it.
We stayed for 3 nights in the Bellini and thought it was the perfect location for our venice break. The hotel is situated on the grand canal, near the train, bus and waterbus stations so easy to get around. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby so you don't have to venture far.
The hotel room itself was nice at the side of the hotel which wasn't too noisy except the church bells ringing early every morning, but I think you would get that most places.
The room itself had seen better days, the decor was lovely and traditional however the were some parts that could have been replaced or cleaned up better. It would've been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well. Generally it was very clean and fresh towels and linen provided.
Breakfast was nice, plenty of choice with some 'hot' food as well, even had prosecco which was a nice touch.
There is a bar in the hotel which we didn't use, but we noticed there were no restaurant/evening meal facilities either- this wasn't a major issue as there were plenty of restaurants along the canal anyway. There was a mini bar in the room but we didnt use it as it was very expensive ( €5 for a can of coke) and found ourselves buying things from the supermarkets instead.

Brilliant location to explore the beautiful city and very convenient to get to from the bus station. Only one bridge to cross with the suitcase!
The Bellini has had many changes during it’s life but has retained character and charm.
The Hotel Managment has assembled a great team - Every body we saw went out of their way to greet us and all colleagues we spoke to were polite and efficient in their task.
House keeping need a special shout out as the room was spotless and the bedding and towels were perfect.
We were fortunate to have a room at the back of the hotel and slept with the window open with no disturbance.
Breakfast was well organised which was good, as we shared the restaurant with a large tour group on our last day.
And a final tip if you do stay here : they have a small roof terrace that catches the afternoon sun. Take a drink from the bar up there and enjoy the peacefulness after a busy day sightseeing.
Stayed two nights at Bellini hotel, located just 2-3 minutes walk from the train station. Perfect if you have luggages.
Rooms are small but acceptable, clean as well. But there’s no ventilation in the room, can’t use the air-conditional as well, we will have to open the windows but it’s terribly noisy throughout the day and night. Not advisable for light sleepers.
Plus point is there’s a supermarket next door as well.
This as a good hotel with nice interiors and generally friendly staff that provides a good night sleep in a fantastic location for a reasonable price. It has everything to provide an enjoyable stay, but unfortunately the management and front office do not cope with some of the most basic rules regarding the trust between customer and service provider.
I have booked two rooms at the Bellini for a business trip through a booking site, paying extra to have the possibility to have a free cancellation. On the same day of the booking, the hotel charged the full amount of the stay on the credit card. More than a month before the stay, I have cancelled one of the rooms. However, they retained the amount of the cancelled room instead of reimbursing it as it should. During check-in, I have reported the situation to the receptionist who first claimed I should have cancelled within the 3 days before the stay (I actually did it more than one month before...) and then asked me to wait for the following day as the matter should be dealt with the front desk directly, but wanted me to sign the credit card slip stating the full amount for the stay!!!!. During check-out, I was told the room charged in excess would be refunded as due, but that the invoice could not be issued at that time since they should involve their accountant in the process (!!!!). This is highly unusual, but OK, I reluctantly left the hotel without the reimbursement nor the invoice which I needed. Sparing the readers of further details, only two months after my stay, and after several communications to the front office, management, hotel chain and finally booking site, did I receive my refund. But still waiting for my invoice.
And what is worse, in every reply along the process they sound very committed and state they are personally taking care of everything and extremely concerned, but really it seems they couldn't care less as long as they have the client's money on their side.
This could be a great place to stay in Venice, but if you do not want to have to deal with such issues during your business trip or relaxing holiday, stay away!!! There is a lot more to chose from in Venice.
