Comfortable stay
Reviewed 3 days ago

Its at a great location, 100 metres away from the main train station. Water bus stand, gondola stand, supermarket, restaurants, and shopping, all within walking distance. Rooms are nice and luckily we got ours on the ground floor, as i don't suppose they have an elevator. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

The Bellini is in a fantastic position to access everything Venice has to offer. Situated beside the main railway station, it is literally a two minute walk from the Ferrovia Waterbus stop which is serviced by most of the Waterbus lines.
The room was very clean and looked somewhat old fashioned, but this was in keeping with the hotel's period theme. The view from our room, 309, was the wall opposite across a narrow alley, you could if you opened the window and leaned right out catch a glimpse of the Grand Cqanal, but this is not recommended.
There was a dining room , but they do not seem to want to cater for casual dining as they only offered a set menu with no choice and thus was aimed for large groups and I was not made to feel welcome when I enquired about dining there as I was not part if any group. However there are any number of restaurants and cafes literally next door to choose from.
The wigi is very temperamental in the hotel and it was often difficult to log in to get access. The staff when approached took the easy route of blaming my devices rather than trying to help.
On our last day, either the concierge did not know how to use the hotel card system or it was not working as my card was declined FIVE times with two different cards when attempting to pay the dreaded city tax, and I had to use my spare cash for this. The cards both worked when tried in other establishments a few minutes later.
The location is the BEST asset for this hotel and this would make ne come back to The Bellini for any future trip.

What a find! Great location & simply wonderful staff. Bellini is a real Venetian gem

Slightly hesitant to write this review as would quite like to keep the secret of this lovely hotel all to ourselves! We found the Bellini by chance online but it ticked all the boxes for a quick one night stay on the airport side of Venice. How lucky we were! As mentioned in other reviews, the location is perfect, a few minutes' walk from St Lucia Rail Station and only a few further to the bus terminus at Piazzale Roma where we were dropped by our Italian friends. We had already received a highly efficient and friendly email from the hotel, saying it would be no trouble to store our bags while we attempted to cover just a little of the Art Biennale in a single day. The reception staff could not have been more welcoming or efficient and moreover, kind - beyond the call of duty - to our lively six year old daughter. Close to the vaporetto stop and only seconds from the Ponte deli Scalzi, which connects Cannareggio to Santa Croce, the hotel is nevertheless extremely quiet and we slept soundly. Our room was scrupulously clean and the unexpectedly magnificent marble bathroom boasted plentiful hot water and excellent water pressure - none of these ever a given in Venice. The next morning, the water taxi organised by the hotel turned up in good time and our bags were whisked away for our spectacular journey across the lagoon. Extraordinarily good value for such a warm and professional experience. Thanks to everyone who looked after us: Andrea, Ronaldo, Patrick et al! Grazie mille & ci vediamo! Highly recommended

Simply the best. We 110% recommend you stay.

What a delightful find. We loved everything about it. Don't they grade hotels in Venice as 5 Star? This is not just a 4. From the minute we walked in, right up to the fond farewells, we were treated like royalty. Everyone we came across from Reception through to Dining staff was so friendly, helpful and a pleasure to meet. You are made to feel special and we would love to return.

Fabulous Location right on Grand Canal
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel is located right on the Grand Canal. A 2 minute walk from St Lucia Station, 10 minute walk to Bus Station which is also where the bus to the Airport leaves from.
The Vaporetto station is in front of the Hotel with ferries going in both directions. I took a ferry that went Right, (most people went on ferry that went left). This took me out into the waterways rather than canals and was so interesting. Would recommend doing both trips to really view Venice in all aspects. Shops surround the hotel and walking to the left will eventually get you to the Square....about 30 minute walk.
Hotel is traditional old Venice but beautiful. The Murano glass is beautiful with so many different and lovely cabinets filled with antiques. There are lifts which is a huge thing in Venice. I had lots of luggage and solo and the lifts were a life saver.
Breakfast was basic but certainly adequate and there is a little bar area for an evening apertivo. Rooms are small but that is to be expected. Everything clean, beautiful linen and bathroom amenities. Bath over the Show. My room had a view over the Canal which was incredible watching everything on the canal especially seeing ambulance, police and traders stocking up early in the morning and moving stock along the canals. Staff understand English which was helpful. Would stay here again if visiting Venice and would certainly take up the offers of Porters to transport my luggage to the Bus Station for 5 Euro per bag. Walking on those cobblestones with lots of luggage isn't easy.
