Some would say it’s traditional but it’s really so outdated and how it makes the Small Luxury Hotels of the World listing I’ll never know.
Receptionist was fine but the rest of the staff just plain miserable. Our room was as someone said a Heidi’s grotto with a hard uncomfortable bed . The bathroom had old scruffy floor tiles and a tiny bath.
Breakfast was not great and staff rushed off their feet . Will review evening meals on restaurant site
Only here for 2 days and couldn’t wait to leave.

A bit like staying at Heidi's grandfather's house

Although this hotel has lovely views the rooms are very dated and it is not worthy of the very high prices they charge or its so called 5 stars.
My room was a suite with two bathrooms and some furniture that looked like was very old.
There is a lovely outside pool and jacuzzi.
It is in a very quiet village.
If you want peace and quiet I would imagine this is a lovely place for walks in the spring.
But if you want 5 star service and food this is not the hotel for you.

Lovely views, stunning

we had a so wonderful romantic stay, we wouldn't expect a luxury place like that run by committed and professional staff. Classy and delicious restaurant with local fresh food skillfully prepared! The maitre was tipsy! Spa is without extra charge! We recommend this lovely place!

Every woman on the planet grows up always wanting that ultra romantic getaway in the mountains with their husband / boyfriend. Look no further - this is it! Amazing facility at the base of Mont Blanc mountain. Full spa that is free for guests (treatments / massages extra but only about €80), wonderful five course dining where you can actually dress up a bit to dine. Outdoor pool, and one of the top 5 spas in all of Italy in 2015. Fair prices and just the epitome of relaxing & romantic. Views from the rooms defy logic they are so pretty. I've been in hundreds of hotels in 20 countries and this one, without exception, is the most amazing place I've ever been. Super nice and professional staff. Sheets all smell like fresh fabric softener and not like hotel bleach.

A beautiful relais where to relax and escape from the hectic city life. Service is impeccable, common areas are as expected for a luxury hotel, outdoors pool is small but charming, rooms are very nice and quiet. It is in the middle of nowhere, but if that's what you are looking for you will hardly be disappointed I think
