How to Get There
I love the hotel but on this occasion I found it hard to sleep for the banging doors in my corridor. Seemed to go on for ages. The staff is lovely though and the rooms are fabulous. The location is ideal for the city centre.
Firstly I would say that we like the hotel design. Our room was tiny, but so well designed that it felt fine for a couple of nights with glass bathroom and central bed made it all work. Breakfast was yummy with good coffee (not always easy to find in Germany), though eating off low tables bit of a challenge if all high tables occupied. Good vibe in the bar at night with good music and cocktails.
But you know those little chains on the hotel room door that you can latch to make sure that you dont have uninvited guests in the middle of the night? This hotel didn’t have one of these, and sure enough - at midnight we are fast asleep when two unknown people come in to our room and turn on the lights!! By the time we woke, confused as hell and said what the fk are you doing here they had fled, presumably as surprised as we were? It seemed an innocent mistake - but how did their electronic key work with our door???
When we asked the manager in the morning how this was possible he seemed unperturbed and just said “that should not happen” - NO KIDDING !! We asked him if the electronic key system kept track of who had access to any room and he said no. On check out we asked the new manager if the security company had been contacted to fix the problem for future guests, but he didn’t know anything of the breach. At least he apologized, unlike the 1st manager. So dear Ruby Lily Hotel - ask your security provider how this could happen and fix the problem because intruders at midnight are not pleasant.
Surprising atmosphere, welcoming staff, very cozy, like hugge-style. Very quick automatic check in, organic delicious breakfast. Very smart room interior, lean luxury - they actually do what they promise.
Hotel has ice and provides a tablet and phone in your room for use. This is very different from other hotels in the area. Staff are helpful. Rooms are efficient and clean. Hotel is near the stiglmaierplatz U-bahn.
I stayed here in my business trip and totally enjoyed every moment. The hotel is very quiet, it looks nice and offers a beautiful view. Staying there makes you feel like home because the rooms are small but cute furnished.
