How to Get There
Stayed here for 2 nights and it could not have been better. The location is perfect, just a few blocks from Marienplatz and the center of old Munich. The rooms were well appointed and the staff was most helpful. The breakfast was extensive and quite good.
Our family of 6 stayed at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in May 2018. We were very impressed by all aspects of the hotel - location, room size, meals, pool area, etc. We would highly recommend this fabulous hotel. Guest Relations Agent Alex Fekete warmly welcomed us and made us feel comfortable immediately. Thank you for being part of our wonderful experience in Germany!
One of the great European hotels. This is where Richard Strauss would stay after he conducted one of his operas. Not at all modern in the best sense of the word. But not cheap either. This is a place to see and be seen--great lobby.
Our family stayed at the Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski in early July for 2 nights. The hotel is a high end property with nice amenities in a great location. The staff is very well trained and professional and accommodated us for an early check in after a long night of travel from the US.
The rooms are very nice, beds were very comfortable; bathrooms and showers are great and the air conditioning works well on hot days. The breakfast buffet was included in our room package and it was excellent. Many choices of meats, breads, fruit, juices, etc. Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Munich.
My wife and I LOVED this hotel -- the nicest stop by far on a two week trip.
We got a double upgrade, ending up in an Junior Suite; which was very nicely appointed with a huge bathroom (separate very large bath tub and large glassed-in shower with both rainfall shower head in the ceiling and wall-mounted hand wand).
Staff were excellent throughout; from front desk to pool/sauna to lobby bar -- everyone was really a perfect mix of friendly attitude and professional ability.
Check-in was a breeze, even though we were a bit early. The lobby is really nice.
Pool and sauna area are nice, though as others have said, the actual sauna area is a bit small -- one steam room and one small dry sauna. The sauna/steam area is coed and fully nude, as is typical throughout Germany. (If you're shy, you can cover yourself with a towel, but if there's anyone else there, they likely won't be covered).
The indoor pool is very nice (and bathing suits must be worn -- so if the nudity of the sauna area isn't for you, don't worry - the pool is just as you'd expect from any American hotel).
The lobby bar is excellent. I ordered the "Orange Bourbon" and have to say it was one of the best drinks I've ever had (and I'm no stranger to a good premium cocktail).
Location is also terrific. Short taxi from the train station. Little further for the airport (we arrived by train and left by air). High end shopping right by the hotel, plus short walks to a large town square in one direction or the river / parks in the other other direction.
Breakfast buffet was quite large with ample choices, including lots of different juices and coffees.
Overall -- a terrific stay. I hope to be back and definitely recommend to friends.
