How to Get There
This is a very high end hotel. The lobby and guests give that away once you walk in. Great location in town. Can walk or cycle anywhere (Mikes bikes rental is around the corner). Rooms compact but very modern. Coffee maker. Comfy bed. Lovely pool and small sauna steam room.
All in all a lovely place to stay in Munich.
So many good things about this hotel. Lovely front desk service, beautiful property. Well located and clean, well appointed rooms. And now the downside, and it’s so important. The food service was good and the food itself quite good. But the bar service was awful, and it seemed to be just very very understaffed. An apology is fine, patience is a virtue, but we tried three occasions and came away feeling it took way too much effort to try to relax and enjoy some drinks and conversation. Service in lobby area was adequate, but by the bar itself couldn’t have been worse, but that aside, lovely hotel.
A beautiful and elegant building with renovated contemporary room decor. High end room amenities; formal, but helpful staff; and a very good breakfast (included with our rooms) made for a great stay. The location is excellent with an easy 5min walk to Marienplatz and public transportation. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Munich.
We loved this hotel, it is elegant, friendly, great location, love, love, love.
Rooms are extremely comfortable and excellently maintained. But then there is the toilet from the future, the Toto Neorest. More advanced than my iPhone 8, this toilet does it all. OK, I am just a simple guy. I am friendly, I say hello to people in elevators but when I wake up in the middle of the night I am a bit out of it, I do not enjoy being confronted with the sound of a small jet engine as the toilet seat automatically raises. Done with my business and now another but even louder jet engine power surge and the toilet flushes, hey my wife is trying to sleep, she was sleeping until now. I climb back into bed, apologize to my wife because of my weak bladder, and then a couple of minutes later another jet engine sound and the toilet seat closes with a thud, I apologize again to my wife. Can you please add to the guest preferences such as pillow type preferences the new category, electric or manual flush toilet.
The hotel is close to major shopping and landmarks. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. The only negative is that the staff could be more friendly. Some people in my group thought the staff was rude. I didn't.
