How to Get There
I always pick this hotel any time I come to Munich. It’s perfectly located inside the shopping district and just few walks from the city center pedestrian area. The lobby has a very warm ambience while the rooms are comfortable and nice. Actually never tried the restaurant but the breakfast is amazing with a very wide range of choices.
A great location in historic district of Munich. Hotel was spotless, and the staff was superb. We traveled with our 85 year old father and they provided a wheelchair so we could take him on longer walks site seeing, the breakfast buffet was to die for. It had whatever you wanted, not necessarily what you needed to eat, the bed was extremely comfortable and the room were well insulated for restful sleep.. the workout facility on the 6 th floor had great views of the city. Stayed for 3 nights which enabled us to see most of the sites we wanted to see while in Munich. A little pricey but well worth it when needing a hotel that could accommodate all of our families needs, including our Dad.
We stayed in a standard room for four nights as part of our Eastern Europe holiday.
+ Competent front office service. Our check in and check out experience was great and quick as staff was knowledegable, multilingual, and friendly.
+ doormen were helpful, and quick. We wanted to take our luggages to the room as we came from a long flight from Asia. They insisted and managed to bring them to our room promptly.
+ concierge service was topnotch. They were attentive, proactive, and friendly. Gave us good recommendations and helped us book our city tour. Both gentlemen manning the concierge from JUNE 1-5 were exceptional. They went our of their way to help us with other needs - transport, luggage movement.
+ room was impeccably neat and smelling clean. Housekeeping did a fine job of keeping room clean, replenshing room amenities consistently, etc. Room size was surprisingly spacious, great size for two people.
+ room service was quick and prompt. The apple strudle was delicious!
+ bed and beddings were topnotch quality. Soft, smooth bed linens. Pillow firmness was just right. Bed was comfortable. We had great sleep in this hotel.
+ breakfast buffet queuing was efficient. Food selection was wide. Quality was high except for a few items, i.e. Salmon didnt taste right/fresh. But pastries was exceptional, the croissants were delicious.
=hotel is sprawling so expect to walk a bit from the lifts to your rooms. Room view is so so.
=we wanted to try their michelin-starred restaurant but they are closed on sunday and monday, and are only open for dinners so sadly, we missed it. One needs to plan ahead.
Stay here on a regular basis during business trips to Munich . What makes it special ? Door staff are simply outstanding and warm whatever the weather or time of day your car is parked or brought back to you in minutes! The check in staff are warm and have passion ! The all day lounge is a constant buzz with wonderful tea service and pastries ! Location you just beat it for shopping on Munich finest shopping road . Rooms are elegant well appointed and beds ensure a great nights rest . Concierge always a great help !
Excellent location - Service is superb. But the View of a building under construction is not conducive to relaxation. I was given an "upgraded double room" only to overlook a courtyard that was under construction. Very disappointing. Other than that the location is amazing...the staff is well trained.
