How to Get There
The location of the historic hotel is fantastic, it is right next to the centre of the city on a beautiful street littered with designer outlets and luxury cars. The town hall is within walking distance as are an array of amazing restaurants. The hotel itself has a beautiful decor, service is very good and the breakfast was very extensive with a good range of food. The gym and spa area are nice, however quite small. The room we stayed in was recently renovated and it was amazing, clean and comfortable with a well sized bathroom including a TOTO toilet. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay in Munich and would stay here again in the future.
Just stayed at this property last week for our first trip to Munich and what a great experience!! Old school elegance meets modern day luxury!! The lobby of the hotel is amazing, a throwback to a classic hotel out of the 50's!! Tables and comfortable chairs in a massive lobby with a piano player. Great cocktail menu as well. While the property looks like an older hotel, everything inside is updated, new and beautiful. We stayed in a newly renovated room and it was massive!! Huge TV, great bed, and large bathroom with toilet with heated seat and large shower. The staff were all super friendly and the breakfast buffet was awesome. Perfect location to explore Munich, just a short walk to the Marienplatz and farmers market.
Great location. If you are willing to spend a bit more, this is the place to stay. Elegant lobby, great atmosphere. For sure have dinner at Schwartzreiter. Unique experience, excellent serivce. Rooms are spacious, very new/ modern design. Beds are exceptionally comfortable. Waterfall shower and Japanese toilet. Nespresso maker in room. Tea in lobby bar is excellent although as expensive as a cocktail. Breakfast was only think I would skip here next time. Quality was ok, omelet was mediocre and price is ridiculous.
Arrived on the morning of September 19th from Houston, Texas. The Lobby was inviting, with small tables and comfy chairs where one could enjoy coffee, tea, sweets. Many front desk clerks available for check in. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Able to access our room in a short time. Clean, spacious, wood flooring, king bed, desk, and gorgeous bathroom with hands off toilet, wow.Breakfast was included each morning for our 4 night stay. The location of this hotel is so convenient. Walking everywhere to accessible trains, restaurants, shopping, and even a block and a half away from the opera house. The concierge was able to snag front row seats for the Saturday evening performance of The Marriage of Figaro. Outstanding service and staff. I would definitely stay here again. With Octoberfest gearing up, the city was exciting, the beers 🍺 so so good.
Located close to Marienplatz. Easy to use S-1 or S-8 trains to/from airport. The walls are thin and I could hear TV from next room and as a light sleeper, kept me up. Gym is clean, but very small. When I extended 1 additional night they charged me 80 Euros more than the other nights I was there.
