How to Get There
A charming and quality hotel with a well presented room and comfortable bed. The hotel exceeded our expectations and the hotel staff excelled. Free minibar, a wonderful breakfast buffet and free bicycles were icing on the cake.
Impossible to fault - fantastic quality establishment and matching service. All staff were super friendly and efficient without being over-baring. The food and wine options were great and the room was exceptional in terms of design and functionality.
From the moment we arrived at the Palace we were welcomed and treated with friendly, warm, and authentic hospitality. The atmosphere through the hotel was elegant, yet comfortably relaxed. The staff could not have been any more welcoming and friendly. Service throughout our stay was top notch, compliments to GM Mr Heller and a big thank you to Concierge Markus!
Throughout the hotel the attention to detail was spot on and we particularly loved the baby amenities in the room on arrival. Oh, the room! Make sure you reserve one of the newly renovated rooms with their superb bathrooms and those heavenly linens!
Breakfast was great, particularly the Bavarian Weisswurst! We sat in the bar, which offers additional privacy and a wonderful atmosphere.
Having stayed at pretty much every five star hotel in Munich, the Palace has instantly become my new favourite. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!
This hotel fully deserves its (currently) 3/400 hotels (by Traveller Ranking) on TripAdvisor.
Location is fantastic, in a very civil and quiet part of the city but still within walking distance to the heart of the city.
Hotel room (and furnishings) is plush and offers full 5-star comforts. Step into the room and you’ll feel perfectly at home. Everything from the towels to the bed, toiletries etc is first class. We paid more for a deluxe room with a seating area and it’s well worth the expense. Complimentary mini bar is so clever; it doesn’t cost the hotel much but stands out as a nice touch.
Service is impeccable. The front desk staff who received us upon check in and the door man / valet was super friendly, helpful and personable. Gave us great tips on many things such as parking, restaurants and sightseeing.
We were resting in the room late one evening hungry and feeling hungry, I decided to go the nearby Italian restaurant (in the next block) to bring back a pizza. A few seconds after I left the room, my wife called the front desk to ask for the restaurant’s number so that she can call ahead to place the order to shorten the wait time. The hotel staff offered to help with the call and my wife thanked her. I came back with the pizza and a minute later, our door bell rang with a hotel staff standing outside with another pizza from the same restaurant. I spoke to the front desk who insisted my wife told his colleague to order and collect a pizza, which my wife wouldn’t have since I had already gone out. Anyway, it was a small issue and we paid for the second pizza. I wouldn’t hold this incident against the hotel. Maybe it was a language or communication barrier, but I think a large part of it was because the hotel has such excellent service and they are quick to go the extra mile. Imagine the hotel sending someone to a nearby restaurant to get a pizza for you when they had their own restaurant! We never thought of asking them to do that even!
I had accidentally broken a wine glass and a nit picking hotel would have charged, and probably overcharged, me for the glass. When checking out we asked them about the glass but they were more concerned about whether we hurt ourselves.
Kudos to the hotel management for either selecting such good employees or training them so well. Great job to the service crew too!
Definitely highly recommend this hotel (although I wonder if I should perhaps keep this a secret otherwise higher demand would push up their rates)!
Currently sat in the restaurant enjoying the rather tasty burger. I really like the staff. They let me practice my rather mediocre German despite speaking impeccable English. Friendly and excellent service. Would love to come here again with my family. Thank you for such a pleasant hotel, restaurant and atmosphere!!
