How to Get There
We had a 5 night stay here on a rail tour of Germany. This by far our favourite Hotel. We opted to stay in Superior refurbished room. The bathroom was large clean and well supplied with towels etc. The room was large quiet and with aTV that let us to catch up on BBC world. The bar was well used by locals and had a buzzing friendly atmosphere. We ate in the restaurant once and thought eh service and cooking was good. Breakfast was the best we've had Germany
Stayed in Munich for 2 nights in September 2019. Great location to train station - just across the road. Easy walk to sights, shops, restaurants etc. We got there shortly after noon and our rooms were not ready. Were told they could be at least 1.5 hours so we checked in and left our luggage there. When we got back at 5, our rooms were ready and we were able to get our room card. I guess we figured that since they had our luggage and they didn't mention anything to us, that our luggage would have been placed in the room so we went up to our room. The main elevator was broken and had to take a smaller, very slow one, down 3 long halls and no luggage! Went back to desk and had to repeat process. Room was nice and quite clean. The bed was too soft for my liking but was ok. The next day, we were gone from 900 in the morning until after 600 on an excursion. We got back to our room and it wasn't made up. Had to call down for clean towels. They didn't apologize - just brought up the towels and handed them to us like that was a normal occurrence! This is a 4 star hotel? Breakfast was included and I must say, it was a good variety. Overall, I found them right from booking until we left, that they don't care about their customer service.
I stayed at this hotel twice in September 2019 and each time the room was comfortable, clean and a pleasure to be in. Located just across from the main Railway Station, it was a quiet oasis in a busy city.
The staff at reception were always helpful and courteous, the breakfast staff were aware that breakfast is not always the brightest part of the day, and the bar staff were efficient with drinks and snacks.
The adjoining restaurant was a pleasant and relaxing place to eat.
