Sketchy neighborhood

Our first impression of this hotel was a little scary. When we first pulled in, there was a lady standing out front by the gates (not security gates, so anyone can access the parking lot) who appeared to be a prostitute. We park as close to the front doors as possible & hear what sounded like gunshots very close, we decide (maybe?) that it was something else (fireworks in November? Doubt it, but we decide to go in anyway since we’ve already paid for 2 nights). Once out of our car, we were overcome by the smell of marijuana (not judging...if you do that, idc, Id just rather not have my kids inhaling it). Front desk associates friendly enough, but not overly helpful as most hotels in this price range. We booked through a 3rd party, which usually doesn’t cause any issues, but we had booked a 2 bed suite, & when we got to our room, it was only a 1 bed suite. They did correct the issue after I showed them my printed confirmation, but only after several eye rolls & loud sighs. It was fairly close to a lot of things we wanted to see, so that was great & the price wasn’t bad, but we probably won’t be returning to this hotel.

Fun time in Dallas

We had an awesome time staying at this hotel. Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable.
Rooms are new and clean. Thank you for making our trip so worthwhile. The location of the Wyndham Suites is central to downtown and going north to Plano and Frisco

Unbelievable rude front desk lady

I went too check in at Wyndham dallas suites. Showed the front desk lady at 5:20 pm oct 26. I showed her my ID a valid Credit Card and two reservations on my phone. She found the reservation. She found it under the confirmation number Wyndham had sent me. She told me because I don’t have a physical copy she couldn’t check me in en less I paid the full rack rate. She was super rude seemed to be bothered that she couldn’t talk to her friend. I told her that my staff could send by fax a copy of the certificate. She refused. A manager never showed up. Her smug attitude was beyond believe. Now her is the funny part I’m the CEO of a hotel company that had invested over 25 million in Wyndham hotels, including a 370 room Wyndham down the street. We had been sold out the last four days so I booked with what I thought was a sister property. Wyndham manages this hotel for the ownership group. And they say they don’t even have a manager. I’m a very understanding person and understand the stress of the front desk. But no training at all and someone who treats part of the Wyndham family this way. I can only imagine how she treats the actual guest. Please get some training for front desk agents. We have accepted hundreds of Wyndham family and friends in the past with out demanding a physical certificate. This is common in the industry. The confirmation code and name and type of payment is what’s important.
