Front Desk needs a hospitality lesson
Reviewed 1 day ago

The hotel itself was fine. We were traveling for a sports tournament. We had approximately 30 hotel stays this year.

The front desk staff, namely Michael, was horrible. At check in I was treated rudely. My husband was arriving separately. Michael decided that despite having been booked with my husband’s Marriott reward number we were denied our benefits (breakfast, happy hour, room upgrade). Michael actually went out of his way to take the number off of the reservation. My husband had to call Marriott separately. Thankfully the issue was corrected by them.

At check out Michael was again at the front desk. I mentioned the issue and he said your husband’s number was taken off of the reservation and you won’t get credit for the stay. Wow.

It’s a shame that this was my first impression at this stay. The hotel itself was nice. Good location. Good gym. Please address this issue with Michael. We are scheduled to return to the twin cities. And will not stay at this hotel until we know the issue has been addressed.

Great Stay Until I Got the Bill
Reviewed 1 week ago

Room was very comfortable. Great mattress. Hotel was quiet. Everything was great until I got the bill at checout. They added a "Room Revenue" charge of $10.39. I asked what that was and the front desk clerk said it was a tax. But it is not a tax. I asked others and it turns out it is a surcharge that hotels add at peak occassions as a way to increase the price of the room without you realizing it. Very disappointed with this underhanded and unethical practice.

Top of the line customer service

Multiple times I was that guest who came down to the lobby at inconvenient times (past mid-night and 5am) to get a blanket and then to set up with my laptop. Paul went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Paul (front desk) and Shirley (breakfast crew) actually went above and beyond to open the billiard area for me to get set up with WiFi and an outlet that I asked for. This was prior to their breakfast area opening up and they were trying to get all set up for the morning. I can't thank you guys enough. Thank you for going above and beyond.

A Great Hotel in a Great Area
Reviewed 4 months ago

Stopped for an evening meal while visiting friends in the cities. We are never disappointed with the Sheraton name and this time was no exception. A suggestion: Call the Hotel directly to check on whether the dining area are open during your stay. Thanksgiving only the front desk was open, no club level, no concierge level, no bar, no dining room

Conference stay

Easy check in and very accommodating staff. My conference was held at the hotel and staff were always asking if there was anything that was needed. Food was great for the appetizer hours and the buffet lunch was very good as well.
