5-Star hotel in Woodbury

Well not exactly a true hotel rating but the service merits a 5-star distinction. Bonvoy Elite status certainly goes along way at this property, especially for Titanium members. The suite upgrade was nice. Frankly, I was more impressed with the very large bathroom, lighted mirrors and water closet. Comfortable bed! They definitely did their research prior to my check-in, my Bonvoy profile amenities were all ready. A+ there!

Michael at the front desk was very accommodating. He helped arrange the complimentary shuttle service to all my meetings. Tico, the shuttle driver was awesome. And people, please be sure to tip these drivers; don’t be a cheapo. Yea, it’s complimentary but any gratuity is a nice gesture, especially if you have them drive you to Portillos. For you Chicagoans, the fact that they have a Portillo’s nearby is another A+ on location alone. And, Regina, at the Red Rock restaurant deserves some recognition; thanks for the complimentary cup of coffee! This hotel truly knows hospitality and customer service.

Finally, the club lounge is awesome. Staff was very hospitable. Food was great! It’s no R-I-T-Z Carlton club lounge, but it’s not bad at all. The fireplace is nice touch for those cold Minnesota nights.

I definitely plan on coming back!

I had just purchased my favorite candle from the MOA, you can't find this candle anywhere else and I was very excited to bring it home. However, during my three night stay at the hotel my candle was stolen from my room. I reported this to the front desk who blankly stated that they had not seen a candle. Honestly, if the staff is willing to steal candles I can't imagine what else they would have stolen had I not used the safe.
There were also two staff members who woke me up at 8:30am for no apparent reason. When I answered the door they just looked at me and attempted to explain themselves in English but could not convey what they where trying to say and just continued knocking on doors. Along with this, the hotel had a broken thermostat which I reported twice and was not fixed. The restroom doors are also a foggy glass which allows for the light to shine through when someone is using the restroom at night.

We enjoyed our stay at this Sheraton though we were confused as we were met with the "Marriott Bonvoy" name as we checked in. But we had a good group rate here and found the hotel clean and comfortable with easy parking. There's a nice back patio you can sit at or dine at. The lobby itself is very small and uninviting. The rooms appeared all white washed with light beige walls with only 1 picture in the whole room which you didn't even see way over on the side. And there is no good table to work at.....just a small one as one whole wall is taken up with a nice double sized bench for your suitcases below the wall mounted TV. But a bigger traditional table would be appreciated. The only thing really bringing down my rating was the internet was terrible.....hardly worked the two days we were there.
