How to Get There
I’m a Bonvoy member currently (3/22/19) staying in the Westin hotel. I choose this location for myself & co-workers after careful consideration of options & based upon proximity to our office also located within in the concourse.
I was harassed by the front desk about club access. Was even asked to show proof that I booked such room. Only after I dropped the name of the person I spoke with about the booking & showed a screenshot of my mobile check in noting club level was my room card programmed with access.
Myself and 4 other co-workers ate dinner here. There was a reception going on with music blaring so loud we couldn’t hear each other. When we asked for it to be turned down, we were told “we’ll see” & “it will end in a couple of hours”. We had to ask for seating in the back of the restaurant to drown out the noise. Also, 2 of my appetizer plates were dirty. One with old food and the other with hair. The server exchanged them.
Room 901- Jr Suite
-Located across from a service elevator, ice machine & exit stairs. I was woken up by what sounded like a train every 2 minutes.
-Bathroom robe was stained with blood
-Pillow case had holes
-Phone was broken and filthy
-Ceiling had a dead bug on it
-When I called at 12:30 am to inquire about the elevator noise, I was offered another room, but harassed again about club access.
Room 921 - Suite
-I was brought keys for this room at 12:50 am. No one offered to help move my things & upon entering the room it was completely dark. I had to fumble to each area to turn in lights. Although larger, this room was a down grade!
-Couch and chairs are stained, torn and sagged in.
-Ceiling was patched
-Credenza was dirty
-Carpet was stained and coming apart from the wall
-Shower door looked like it was from the 80s and shower was dirty.
I am too tired to move to another room. When I asked for a manager, I was told none was there. When I asked for the GMs card, I was given one for the Director of Operations who I sent an email and pictures to. Service and quality are severely lacking at this hotel.
I hope that sharing this candid experience will assist others and improvements are made.
This property was gorgeous bordering the lake. Ask for a view facing that direction. Rooms were beautiful and spacious.
The only disappointment was a mistake in a charge for my room service order which they said was fixed, but when I checked out it was the same charge as initially.
And then the front desk guy said he would email to follow up after going through the itemized receipts and he never did. That was my biggest issue - the lack of follow up.
Absolutely fantastic stay! Room was amazing, super clean, great view, easy check in, comfy bed! Special shout out to Stephen & Abony that helped make my birthday celebration stay extra special. Highly recommend!
This is a nice hotel. It's clean and the location is good. They have very comfortable beds, of course. Donald in the executive club is friendly and helpful and kept the club in excellent condition. Overall this hotel has a good atmosphere and I had a comfortable stay.
This hotel stay was part of a Christmas gift to my significant other. We came by around noon to see if we could check in early, and were able to. Dedo at the concierge desk is all to thank for this review. We were treated like royalty the moment we said hello. His customer service level is impeccable, and took care of us like one of his own. I cannot begin to thank him enough for truly impressing us and making sure our stay was beyond what we expected. The management staff should make note that employees like him are ones that make us say "we'll be back", and mean it. The hotel itself is very clean and spacious, the bed was remarkably comfortable, and the Savor Bar and Kitchen was fantastic. Being a seasoned traveller for both work and pleasure, I have stayed at all three Westin locations in Atlanta; this one was a perfect pick for our weekend.
