How to Get There
I was given a night away at this hotel as a birthday present. It was also a chance for me to rest from some stressful life events so I was hoping for the same time of experience as I had when I stayed at the West Hartford location and Southport did not disappoint!
From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out we received great service. Downtown Fairfield is a walkable Main Street with great restaurants, ice cream shops, and boutiques. We went out for pizza at Pepe's (not on Main Street but worth the 2 minute drive), then walked Main Street and strolled through the new bulk foods store, Provisions, before settling in for the night with a glass of wine and a movie.
We had a room that faced I95 but noise was not an issue.
Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was strong, just the way I like it.
The Delamar is my favorite local hotel and I hope to visit the Greenwich location on my next staycation!
Beautiful room, gym is equipped with a peloton bicycle, lovely dining room and bar.
Front desk staff is excellent and so is the bell captain. Staff went over and beyond to accommodate my husband and I.
We have stayed at the Delamar at least 6 times in the last 8 months. It is always a pleasant experience. I just booked a room for my mother while visiting my son at Fairfield University. The location and comfort can not be beat in the local area!
