How to Get There
High quality, intimate inn going the extra yards for its customers. Like thew facilities including charging station for my electric car, tuned up bicycles for guests and very peaceful breakfast room with great service throughout the hotel
The best hotel choice in the area.
Clean and comfortable rooms with all the comforts of home. Great food, friendly staff and great service. I would highly reccomend The Delamar Southport to anyone visiting the area.
Not impressed for the price. Front desk seemed inconvenienced by questions. Room was fine, but not at all luxurious. Bathroom was dated. Can’t order movies in room. Wouldn’t recommend for couples looking to splurge on a getaway, I think there are better options in the area.
I was on an overnight college visit with my daughter and stayed at the Delamar Southport! The room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was included in our room rate and was a very nice spread. The restaurant was very pretty! The staff was very pleasant. I would not hesitate to stay again at the Delamar!!
Decent hotel overall, but not great for a busy business traveler despite it being right off the highway. Check in took a long time (as did check out), elevator is older and requires card access to navigate from floor to floor. Doorman is unnecessary and wouldn't allow me to refuse his service. Carpet is dated and a the faint smell of a nursing home lingered. The room was well appointed and cozy -- certainly marketed toward a older generation. The room lacked sound proofing so you could hear each person that walked down the hall, shut their doors, etc. Staff was very friendly. Parking was easy and the attached restaurant was INCREDIBLE. It is also important to note that I hosted an event here in one of their meeting rooms and they did a great job executing the event -- staff here was wonderful as well.
OVERALL ASSESSMENT: The website does not match the property that exists. It's much more dated and more cramped than it appears online. I bet many in an older generation love this property for all of its amenities and services -- as a younger business traveler, I would not return. I prefer modern spaces and services when I travel. They clearly have a market and I'm not it!
