The Look

Unashamedly modern. The Indian-owned property has confidently blended Southeast Asian touches with Middle Eastern design motifs. You’ll find great swaths of creamy marble throughout, twinkling crystal chandeliers, chunky columns studded with gold mosaic tiles, and walls dotted with striking black-and-white photos of Indian palaces.

Bed and Bath

The chic style continues in the guestrooms, where contemporary art decorates the walls, dark wooden flooring adds a sleek touch, and crisp white linens invite you to bed. Bathrooms are equipped with freestanding tubs, Etro products and silk robes, and look out at either the Burj Khalifa, a dark-tiled pool or the neighboring residential areas. The overall feel is corporate luxe: Room service is speedy, WiFi is free, windows come with blackout blinds, the flat-screen TVs are loaded with international channels, and dainty macaroons are provided in the room on arrival.


As you’d expect, the hotel’s signature Indian restaurant, Ananta, is exceptional, offering an introduction to the cuisine for newcomers and specialist dishes for those with a practiced palate. The Southeast Asian tone flows through to the spa (open 9 a.m. to midnight), where there’s a menu of global treatments including Balinese massages and ayurvedic therapies, including shirodhara, in which herbal oils are poured over your “third eye” (forehead) to relax you into a trancelike state. Take a dip in the huge pool, surrounded by cushioned loungers, where you’ll be welcomed with the ultimate poolside pack, a tray containing such goodies as SPF 30 sunscreen and frozen fruit.

In the Area

The Oberoi is bang in the middle of Business Bay, a relatively new area in Dubai close to downtown’s hip restaurants, including Zuma, in Dubai’s International Financial Center, and The Ivy, in Emirates Towers, not to mention the Burj Khalifa and the enormous Dubai Mall. Many neighboring developments are still being built, so you may have views of construction sites, but you’re very close to the action.

Amazing 5 star Hotel

We stayed from 9th-12th April and arrived around 8.30am due to early flight.We didn't expect to get a room so early but they said they could have a room ready in 40mins and offered us complimentary buffet breakfast while we waited.When the room was ready they came and found us and showed us to our room.
The room was huge with floor to ceiling windows and a great view of The Burj Khalifa. There was a lovely sitting area and really comfortable king bed with pillow menu, there was also a really large bathroom with double vanity and large deep bath. Everything was top quality and spotlessly clean.
This hotel is perfect and every member of staff go out of there way to help you and have great pride in their job and their hotel. I have never seen customer service like it and we have traveled a fair bit.
We were met each morning at breakfast by Rajae and it was like meeting a friend, she couldn't do enough for us and nothing was any trouble and always had a smile on her face.
We dined twice in Nine7One and the first night there was a slight mix up with our order, which I only mentioned to verify what I was eating, the next thing I know the Chef and the Food & Beverage Assistant Manager came out and could not apologise enough, there was really no need as we were not upset in the slightest, the food was excellent. Next morning at breakfast Rajae asked straight away about the incident and also apologise for the mistake, We were blown away by the fact she knew about it when it was such a slight mix up. That night we went back to Nine7One for the Thursday BBQ and the Manager came up to us to ask about the mix up the night before and also to apologise. This shows the level of customer service and how much they care about their customers as everyone made it their job to know what was going on.
I wish I could remember all the staffs names as they were all amazing, Gaurab worked in Nine7One and was always so helpful and my husband enjoyed chatting to him about the cricket, one morning at breakfast he surprised us by having some beautiful crepes made for us. The pool staff were also amazing and as soon as they see you approach they are there with towels and iced water. I can't praise the staff enough.
The Oberoi ticked all our boxes and certainly deserves its 5 stars. Look no further if your looking for quality I know we won't. Thanks Oberoi for a great stay.

Stayed here last week for business and as I said, it was amazing! From my arrival at the airport until my departure, the entire team really did their best to make me feel comfortable and taken care of.

Special thanks to Vlada at Concierge who helped me with my arrangements from start to finish, Su at Nine7One who greeted me with that unforgettable smile each morning, Refaat at In Room Dining who brought my favorite yogurt and muesli with my breakfast order once he found out my preferences, Rinchen and Sailo from Housekeeping who surprised me with that beautiful and relaxing rose bath when I returned to my room after a hectic day, and many others who are equally special.

Despite staying at the hotel for business and it was noticably busy at that time, the lovely staff were still able to personalize all the interactions I had with any of them.

For you coming to Dubai for business or leisure, look no further! I highly recommend this hotel with no hesitation!

Thursday BBQ vibes

Went here for a Thursday evening brunch event and couldn't fault anything. Food was excellent and staff even brought us a special chicken curry which wasn't on the menu but was requested by a friend and it was a definite 10. The pool in the dining space was beautiful and added to our experience. Music was provided by a DJ and it was fantastic. Overall, food was great, staff greater and ambience even better. Well worth a visit.

This is a great hotel in the business district, close to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. Excellent check in process, very attentive staff and lovely big rooms. The bathroom was amazing. Housekeeping great and kept everything well stocked, even using special cable ties to secure all your charging cables - a nice touch! We liked the gym and the pool was lovely too. We didn't do breakfast as did feel that this was very expensive but walked to the Steinberger hotel just 10 minutes walk and went to the Brothaus Bakery which does a great breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel in the 2nd week of April. Just got back, and it was one of the best hotel experiences we have had in a long time. Our daughter (6 year old) actually chose this hotel based on the promotional video we saw, as well as, coming from India, we knew Oberoi is a well known luxury brand.

The hotel is located in Business Bay, and seems to cater more to business, but they ensured that our family of 4 was well taken care of and tended to.

Prior to check-in, the communication with the Reservations team and Vivek was very cordial and they ensured us that we will have a good time. They also requested for some personal information that we were glad to provide. This was to be used later for a welcome surprise.

The check-in was flawless even though it was late at night.. Rohan provided us with an upgraded room as well as an in-room bed. The room was well appointed, but the special thing was the arrival platter. It had our names, as well as pictures (on fondant). Lovely welcome. The room had a great view of the pool, and each element within the room was well thought through. We also had a "Pillow Menu".. where you could choose the kind of pillow you wanted. That was a first.

In the morning, the breakfast (part of our rate) was served at 971. The breakfast team (Rajah, Khaoulah) took such good care of us. Interacting with the kids, making them feel special. The food options included Indian, Chinese, Continental, Middle-eastern, Fresh Fruits, Juices, Hot breakfast stations and items you can order from the menu (Dosas, Parathas..). Yum! The menu changed a bit every day, so that you would not get bored if you stayed here longer. They were also so kind to pack up breakfast for all 4 of us on the check-out day (at 4:30am!!)

The housekeeping staff was awesome too. (Thank you Kinley). Always polite, taking care of every request we had. The room was serviced a couple of times a day (if requested), so that we had a fresh room in the afternoon and night. Felt nice to come to made rooms!

We also tried food at 2 of their restaurants. Ananta is a star! The tasting menu is beyond delicious. Again, the service here was top notch. The dessert (ghujiya, gulabjamun chaat) as well as main course (Mutter paneer lasagna) were standouts. This would be a 5 on 5.

Matto was the other restaurant we tried. I would give this a 3.75 out of 5. I think the service here could be better. They had a couple of new trainees I believe that missed a couple of our items, but no big deal. The food was good but could be better. We were already spoilt given all the other experiences, so we had very high expectations for Matto.

All in all, this was one of the best hotel stays we have had in a very long time.. My daughter said - "Pappa, this was better than the Ritz Carlton we stayed at".. and we loved our stay at Ritz C too :). We hope to return. Thank you Oberoi for making our Dubai stay the best ever!
