Overview

Luxe downtown high-rise opposite the Burj Khalifa, with an outdoor pool, an ayurvedic spa and four restaurants

The Lowdown

Directly opposite the world’s tallest building and the world’s largest mall, the Taj Dubai is a luxe high-rise in the heart of downtown Dubai. The rooms and suites are done in soothing neutral tones, with hand-made furniture, hand-painted Indian artworks and floor-to-ceiling windows. For more space and comfort, book a Junior Suite; the extra features include walk-in wardrobes, a separate living room and an extra-wide kingsize bed. The marble bathrooms come with a tub and twin sinks. Take your pick of four restaurants: light snacks and cocktails at the Byzantium Lounge; authentic Peruvian cuisine at Tesoro; gastro pub–style fare at the Eloquent Elephant; and Indian specialties at Bombay Brasserie. Cool off by the outdoor pool or indulge with the signature Thaqthia amiqa treatment (an exfoliating scrub followed by relaxation massage) at the Jiva spa.

In the Area

No visit to Dubai is complete without a trip to the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa. At 2,722 feet, the building is more than twice the height of the Empire State Building. Just next door, the Dubai Mall is an enormous shopping complex with more than 1,200 stores and 120 restaurants. And don’t leave the city without first experiencing an Evening Desert Safari. Try your hand at sandboarding and camel riding; then witness a traditional belly dancing show under the glittering desert stars.

The Taj is Incredible! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a smooth check in. We enjoyed every moment of it from the Beautiful room with a corner view of the Burj Khalifa, the Breakfast buffet and the wonderful host. My husband and I were there on our 18th anniversary,(Nov 2017) and we started our day in the Jiva Spa! 2 hours of pure relaxation ! We would definitely Stay in the Taj again!

Best hotel in Dubai

I have now stayed a couple of times at the Taj Dubai Hotel and I have to say that I am a big fan. Very good room, fantastic location in Business Bay. The Club room with its extra facilities is very nice. Doorman Harpal is the most friendly host that welcomes you every time when you arrive back at the hotel.

Excellent overnight stay

We stayed for an overnight break on our way to New Zealand we arrived at 8am and were very pleased to be able to access our room straight away. Plus we were told that we could have breakfast in the club room which was great. The Spa facilities were excellent. We were booked in a club room which meant we could have afternoon tea and evening drinks & excellent canopes as part of our room rate excellent value! The room was lovely with a a large picture window overlooking the burg Khalifa. The staff were all extremely helpful in particular Luna on reception and Ivy in the club lounge.

Very Good Stay in Club Room

Stayed 3 nights in a Club room with full view of the Burg Khalifa. Spectacular view and the room was beautiful. I used the Club amenities and found them a great value. The breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails were just great and really filled me up while enjoying the view. The staff everywhere are top notch. New construction partially blocked my view of the fountain show but my view was still amazing. The shuttle service to the mall was very convenient. A very good central location for visiting Dubai.

25th wedding anniversary.

We stayed for 3nights as part of our 25th wedding anniversary celebrations.
The Taj is in a perfect location to access the Dubai Mall and amazing views of the Burj Khalifa.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely special ..
When we were shown to our room, they had laid out rose petals on the bed and around the bath which could be viewed through the glass partition from the bedroom.
We were also treated to cake which had Happy 25th wedding anniversary on it .
Nothing has been too much trouble for everyone who works in this wonderful hotel ,,

We shall be sorry to leave .
A huge thank you to Monica and Harpal who deserve a special mention ..
