How to Get There
This hotel has none of the luxurious features of other group hotels.
The lobby is a cheap design.
The horizon executive club needs a serious upgrading one of the 2 rooms is dark and depressive like a dungeon!
However, the service is excellent!!!
Ms Chris Barbosa comes across as a very competent and efficient supervisor. Definitely great senior management potential here.
Our daily meetings there could not have work as efficient and flawless without her personal attention.
Executive rooms are very spacious.
This appears to be a former office building conversion.
The entrance is poor and resembles a railway station an not a luxury hotel.
The lobby, breakfast area are rather more 3 stars and the executive club is dark and depressing, squeezed for space.
The hotel lacks glamour and luxurious surrounds.
The poorest design in the chain.
My suite 3408 was very nice and our other Rooms occupied were also large and well equipped.
Service on the executive floor were excellent.
So I am an expectant mum to be and my husband and I booked our last big holiday before the little one joins us. Having never been to Dubai before, we never knew what to expect. 3 nights in the Shangri la hotel followed by 5 nights in the desert. The full experience at the shangri la has been AMAZING. The hotel is beautiful, clean and picturesque inside. Great location to the mall and view of the burj khalifa from half of the hotel rooms. Ours included. The employees are the most amazing I have experienced on any holiday. They simply can’t do enough for you. They even came to our room and presented us with a cake because they heard I was expecting. How incredibly thoughtful. All I would say is we can’t wait to come back when the little ones arrived. Well done everyone and keep doing what you are doing.
