- Cocooning yourself in one of the most beautiful spas in the world

How to Get There
I felt they did not care about customers. They wanted us to be grateful, we were there. Staff seemed rushed and stressed. It did not make for a relaxing time. Plus very over priced. The food was all show no substance, who in the real world ever wants to eat foam? Just my opinion.
I actually came to this brunch over 2 years ago. I lazily allowed so much time to pass without writing the review, but I say: 'better late than never'! The dates section wouldn't allow me to go all the way back to 2017, so I had to fill it in for this year. I really enjoyed the brunch, though the restaurant was very empty, with not more than 5 tables occupied. I wondered why. Maybe because the hotel is located at the tail end of The Palm Island. I had had a lack-luster afternoon tea here about 3 years ago. I took issue with an 'Arabian' themed high tea. Somehow pistachio, hummus, date, cardamom and mint flavoured sandwiches and sweet pastries just didn't hit the right notes for me, though you could tell that they gave it a valiant effort. For this brunch though, all the dishes were bursting with flavour. It had been my son's Nanny's birthday a few days ago and I told them this when I booked the brunch, so they presented her with a complimentary slice of cheesecake, complete with a lighted candle and Happy Birthday written with chocolate on the plate. About 6 members of the staff came out clapping and singing birthday wishes to her, (to my son's glee and delight!). This was really sweet of them. Thank you very much to the staff. They were all very polite, but a waiter called Madhawa tended to loiter around us too much. He was also a little pushy, and hardly gave us space to breath! I also had an issue with being charged for bottled water. 76 dirhams for 2 small bottles of Evian and 27 dirhams for a local bottle. This was rather peculiar to me because most brunches include drinks and water, (depending on the package you pay for). We had 3 soft drinks packages. Throughout the brunch, we ordered an unlimited amount of mocktails, fruit juices and soft drinks, yet I had to pay for water seperately! This was a little ridiculous to tell you the truth. I assumed it was included in the brunch. I wish I had been told; but now I know to always ask whether water is part of the brunch package! Regardless, I would still recommend it, especially if you want to be in a quiet environment. Besides, the hotel is really beautiful, and we had an amazing view of the pool and garden area because we sat outside.
We enjoyed a lovely and relaxing stay here. Warm welcome, superb service, polite and accomodating staff with a striking outlook over The Palm.
This hotel makes a welcome change from the larger and rather soulless Dubai chain hotels.
One & Only enjoys a great location, with striking night-time views of the skyscrapers at night.
