What We Love

  • The rate includes buffet breakfast
  • A palm-fringed, multi-terraced pool area, complete with fully stocked cabanas
  • Opulent, spa-like bathrooms, with superluxe toiletries from Parisian brand Ex Voto
  • The party atmosphere at 101 restaurant, where ex-pats moor speed boats for long, boozy lunches
  • Being able to stroll along the sand to other restaurants for evenings out (almost unheard of in Dubai)
  • Cocooning yourself in one of the most beautiful spas in the world

What To Know

  • A 10 percent service charge per night will be collected at the Jetsetter checkout. A $5.45 Tourism Dirham per room, per night will be collected by the hotel at checkout
  • It’s an hour’s taxi ride from the airport in good traffic, but there’s a free, 20-minute boat shuttle to the mainland for excursions
  • Glam guests dress up day and night in designer-label bikinis and cocktail numbers alike
  • You’ll need to keep a close eye on younger children around the multilevel pool area, but there’s a free kids club
  • Palm Beach rooms are a good five-minute walk from reception. Great for privacy, not so great if you forget your camera or wallet when you leave for the day

5* just isn't enough for this hotel which has the best customer service we've ever experienced. From check in to check out your needs are met by the staff with nothing being too much trouble. When we arrived we were met by the resident manager Moorthy who was welcoming and friendly in a relaxed way. He also has a great sense of humour. We were introduced to Nick our host who looked after us so well during our stay visiting us at the pool every day to see how he could help with table bookings and to generally ask if we needed anything during our stay. If Nick wasn't around then there as always someone who was offering help like Rusel and Dean who were very attentive but not in an intrusive way it really was a pleasure to talk to them. Breakfast was amazing with a choice of cooked breakfast or the usual cereal and fruit and the most amazing pastries. Table service and buffet options are available and nothing is too much trouble. The lattes are the best I've had!! We ate at Zest one evening and enjoyed the buffet (you can also have a la carte) the food was varied and delicious. We ate a number of times at the 101 which is a favourite of ours having eaten there before. The cocktails are to die for and the food is really very good. There is a huge varied menu which caters for all tastes and the setting is fantastic to watch the sun set across the water. You can walk back to the hotel from the 101 which we did one night and took a walk along the beach where there were rabbits hopping about!! We ate twice in Stay (the fine dining restaurant boasting a Michelin star chef) We had the 8 course taster menu which was extremely good. Some great gimmicks with the food made it an enjoyable experience. The sommelier Yashiv was very helpful on both visits here if you're not sure about which wine to have. On our second visit here we chose off the main menu and the food was equally delicious. This time we visited the dessert library where we watched a chef expertly craft our chosen pudding. We had room service for lunch a couple of times and the food arrived quickly and again was delicious. The pool at the One and Only is breath-taking with double beds positioned all around. There are plenty of beds to choose from although a limited number are in the shade which is a shame and the only real negative I have on the whole experience. It's not a deal breaker it wouldn't stop me going and I'm pretty sure if I'd asked someone they would have moved umbrellas to accommodate me so not really a problem but worth noting. The Adult pool at the Spa is also lovely with a bit more shade in the afternoon. Service around the pool is amazing. Cold towels, fresh fruit, a smoothie shot, sunglasses cleaned for you, unlimited iced water and in the afternoon a complementary large glass of iced tea which is delicious. There is also a bar service with cocktails and nice cold beer. In the evenings we had cocktails and sheesha out on the terrace. All the staff were very attentive making sure we had fans and a supply of cold drinks. A special mention to our "Sheesha waiter" Raze who was always there with a welcoming smile every evening and ensured out sheesha was just as we liked it. We all had the most amazing holiday the hotel is spotless the rooms are large airy and the beds so comfortable. Views are superb we all voted it our best holiday yet in Dubai. We will most certainly be back.

Expectations surpassed
Reviewed 4 days ago

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon, after getting engaged at the nearby Royal Mirage around 18months before.

The Royal Mirage is excellent, so our expectations were high, but this resort managed to surpass them. The decor and style is the best of any hotel we have ever stayed in and the food was excellent.

Nestled at the end of the Palm, it does take a whike to get there, but the journey is well worth it. We stayed for 2nights and could probably have stayed for one or two more. If looking for a longer holiday though, the Royal Mirage has more to offer, though the Palm feels more exclusive.

Truly one of the most outstanding hotels in the world , we have stayed in a lot of top class hotels but the facilities and service here is outstanding compared to others , a big mention to Russell who organised everything for us at the hotel and made our stay memorable.

Having previously stayed at this Hotel in 2015, we decided to visit again, as it one of my wifes favourite hotels.

The quality of everything is still as good as it was 3 years ago & whilst not the cheapest of Hotels on the Palm, in our opinion, it is the best

Large rooms, excellent breakfast & good pool area make this a Hotel of choice for us
