What We Love

  • The views of Burj Khalifa from a cabana on the resort’s private beach
  • The special child-sized Bulgari bath products in sensitive skin formulations
  • The whole resort is wheelchair-accessible

What To Know

  • Guests can check-in from their rooms—no need to stand at reception
  • The only Bulgari Resort with a kids’ club, it’s all very family friendly, with services from babysitting to kids’ cooking classes
  • It’s touted as the most expensive hotel in Dubai, but that applies only to the private villas; room prices are comparable to other five-star hotels

Overview

Italian design meets Emirati decadence in this splurge-tastic hotel, with its own private beach and the first Bulgari Yacht Club

The Lowdown

Where most Dubai hotels reach up into the sky, the new Bulgari Resort spreads itself out luxuriously, over a stretch of sandy private beach on Jumeirah Bay Island. No building is higher than four floors, and there’s plenty of privacy. Each of the rooms and suites comes with its own balcony, a deep bathtub with separate shower, and a walk-in closet. Space, here, is plentiful. We love the minibar hidden in a vintage-style trunk and the silk walls in the rooms, as well as the heritage Bulgari pieces pulled from the archives and displayed around the resort. The spa is suitably decadent, with an indoor swimming pool with spectacular sea views, (real) gold tiles, and heaps of features (ice fountain, rainforest showers, steam rooms, vitality pools) designed to get you feeling invigorated, soothed, or a combination of both, as fast as possible. And then there’s the Yacht Club, with its members’ lounge, outdoor pool and 50-berth harbor. Don’t forget your boat.

In the Area

The hotel has a prime spot on Jumeirah Bay, a seahorse-shaped, man-made island connected to the mainland via bridge. Although it feels like a resort – it’s possible to go days without leaving the hotel grounds and not feel like you’re missing out – the nightlife, restaurants and sights of Dubai are just a 15-minute drive away. The Dubai Mall, one of the world’s largest, sells everything from Cartier to Cavalli, but there’s also an aquarium, a movie theater, and an ice-skating rink. Book tickets in advance for trips to the observation deck at the top of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building at 160 stories. Dubai’s Persian Quarter is a wonderful place to wander for an afternoon; make sure to stop into the Arabian Tea House while you’re there for a traditional multi-dish breakfast and a fresh juice in the airy courtyard.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bulgari Resort Dubai a lot. Especially after meeting Ryan who took great care of us and made us feel like we are at home. He even came down to the beach to have a quick chat with my wife and to ask if everything is fine. Always a pleasure to stay at a hotel with such nice employees.

Everything you expect in a luxury hotel, and more!

This Resort is probably the best resort I have ever been in. It was overwhelming with positive vibes, friendly staff, and an overall amazing experience which cannot be imitated at anywhere else. As a Resort, it provides everything you would expect from a resort, however the luxury is out of this world. It really makes you feel special and hurts you deep when the time comes for you to leave.

I speak the truth when I say that this resort is the best of the best. The Rooms are really well designed, with the attention to detail being marvelous. There was not much about the rooms to complain about, and it was probably one of the nicest rooms I've slept in when travelling. The Resort was really chill, it wasn't too crowded, however it wasn't too empty. We had went to the Italian Restaurant located near the entrance of the Resort, and the restaurant staff were really nice and helped a lot. They had kept asking us and looking for feedback, which is great that they pay attention to what the customers desire and need. They also had a bunch of dishes which you wouldn't really be able to try anywhere else, as it's really unique. It was a great experience, for my family and I.

The Resort was not that close to many of dubai's main attractions, however the resort alone made up for it. Everything was just so positive and relaxed, and it just makes you feel good. However, the downside to that is that it makes you feel bad to leave the resort and stress out again. The Resort was extraordinary, with unique staff, amazing service, a lovely atmosphere and a relaxing experience. I would definitely love to go again, and it definitely deserves all the praise it got.
