- Rooms are the definition of Italian decadence
- Hotel concierge has a wealth of local knowledge and off-the-beaten-path recommendations

How to Get There
We have stayed at this wonderful hotel once before and it didn’t disappoint !! We even stayed in exactly the same room as before.
Staff are very attentive and our room was lovely with a city view.
Lovely breakfast with every taste catered for and had lunch a few times.
My only little issue would be that if there is a function or wedding other hotel guests are informed as it restricts access to the lovely terrace.
I had a lovely birthday treat though and I am sure we will be back another time !! Thank you again Villa La Vedetta
Our title says it all! Understated elegance at its very best in one of the most stunning settings in the world. You will be made to feel at home here. My wife and I recently stayed here on honeymoon and the Villa couldn’t do enough for us. Marcella and Valentina are to be highly commended for their client service — compleletly exceptional.
I visited here for a drink at sunset after my friend recommended the hotel after staying here for her honeymoon.
I enjoyed a cocktail overlooking the city, and the hotel’s swimming pool, at sunset and it was stunning. There was also a lovely view the other side into the surrounding Tuscan hills.
The cocktail - an Aperol Spritz - was lovely and large, fair enough it was pricey but expected at such an establishment and came with three delicious aperitifs.
The service was friendly and polite.
There is a shuttle bus that can take you back down to the centre but o didn’t use this as I’d have had to have waited half an hour longer so decided to walk back.
I booked a dinner at Villa La Vedetta some time ago and we have since booked another dinner here due to the amazing service and food at this lovely hotel. I have not yet had the chance to stay here, but the venue is breathtaking in a beautiful city. The staff are incredible and you can see that they really care that you have a good time and enjoy the atmosphere and food. Thanks to all. Fantastic venue.
We stayed here from March 10 thru March 14th and it truly wasn't long enough. (I apologize for being so late with the review). The hotel is on a hill overlooking the city with a spectacular view. When we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest, friendliest, and most accommodating person I have ever experienced in a hotel--Marcella! She was simply wonderful and helped us with everything. She recommended some wonderful restaurants and suggested some great places to see as well as shop. We already had plans in place to visit various vineyards throughout Tuscany, however, Marcella really helped us fill in the gaps with other things to do and see. The other hotel staff were amazing as well. The girls that served breakfast in the morning were wonderful, the breakfast was excellent with so many choices on the buffet as well as the ability to order eggs, omelets, or pancakes in addition. Our room (suite with a terrace) was very nice--yes, I agree they are a bit dated, however, they had everything you could possibly need. When we traveled on to other cities during our trip, the hotels we stayed at did not have nearly the friendly, warm service or the extra little touches like Villa La Vedetta did. We used the free shuttle that took us down to right near the Ponte Vecchio bridge which was very convenient. Probably, our most major complaint was the mattresses were extremely firm and because we are used to something a little softer, we found the mattress uncomfortable, however, when we asked about possibly being moved to a different room with maybe a different mattress, the staff was quite wonderful at giving us a chance to see if the other rooms had beds that were any better for us. As for the views from the hotel--they were absolutely stunning! We would love to come back in warmer weather (it pretty much rained and was cold during our stay) so that we can enjoy having breakfast or tea on the wonderful terrace, or relax by the swimming pool that is on the property. We did also eat in the restaurant upon our arrival, and the food was very good.
All in all, if you are looking for a beautiful place to stay that is not in the heart of busy Florence, but has amazing views and accessibility to the city and a wonderful staff to take care of you, then you must give Villa la Vedetta a try. They hardest thing about our stay was leaving and saying goodbye to our new dear friend Marcella.
