How to Get There
The location and the staff were excellent. However, the room we were in was terrible. We had the “suite” (room 301) right next to the entry—avoid this room if you want to stay here. At 1:30 am, we were awakened by loud talking as people entered. At 3:30, we were awakened by someone with about 10 bags going in and out—didn’t get back to sleep until 5 am. Then at 7-ish, people started going in and out for breakfast, presumably. Worst night’s sleep in a hotel that I can remember. The set-up of the hotel is not conducive to peaceful slumber, unfortunately. There are many other options in Florence.
Stayed here 3 times on our recent trip to Italy! Sarah was amazingly helpful, calling taxis, storing bags, and working to get us into good rooms for 2 other "legs" of our trip. Valentina and Derek were also helpful and friendly! English was spoken. Nice breakfast, loved the balcony, and Xhulia who served coffee was so pleasant and my hubby loved her cappuccinos!! Laid back feel and staff that didn't sweat the small stuff was appreciated!
The hotel is situated centrally, only yards from the Florence Cathedral. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and their English was excellent (helped with my shocking Italian!). The room I stayed in was very modern, clean and fresh, and exceptionally comfortable, with good security to both the floor and room. There was also a communal coffee/tea area, which was accessible 24/7. The breakfast was continental, with a great selection, and the quality was excellent - it was awesome. Finally, there is an outside balcony area where you can relax after a busy day, with a cup of tea, coffee, or a drink. Overall - I had brilliant stay, thank you!
Really enjoyable stay, location is amazing which is the real selling point. Really enjoyable breakfast in the mornings - make your own boiled eggs, breads, cheeses, cereals. Really enjoyable pastries and coffee! Lovely terrace. Staff were all lovely. There's a lift up to your floor which is great. Our room was ready early so no waiting around.
There is no coffee/ tea making facilities in the room, however along the corridor there's a section to make available 24/7. Shower was lovely. We went for the standard room size and found it like a normal hotel - they're usually smallish.
Only con is we found the air con okay, but not that great. Although we put it to the coolest setting it wouldn't go below 22/23 degrees. And sockets were annoying, only available on one side of the bed (the other had a lamp which couldn't plug out) so had to charge away from the bed. Apart from that it was lovely!
We came across this hotel as we were walking near the Duomo, and it happened to be the best one in the trip.
The room was clean and everything seemed quite new and well designed, the breakfast was great, and the young lady at the reception was very kind, welcoming and helpful.
