How to Get There
We booked this hotel based on the reviews and our past experience with the NH brand. The hotel is located near the river and is nice easy walk into the main tourist areas of Florence. There is a tram approximately 100 metres, it is the first stop from the railway station. The trams start and end at the railway station, if you are traveling with luggage this might be an option to consider otherwise I recommend the nice peaceful walk by the river, its about 15 – 20 mins max.
We requested for early check in when booking and the hotel managed to provide this as we arrived around midday and check is was at 3.00pm. There is a welcome “drink” – flavoured cold water, just what you need when you check in or come back from a day walking in the sun. There is free wifi and the signal was generally quite good. The cocktail bar on the rooftop is worth a visit, if only to get a view. Staff are welcoming and helpful.
The room is reasonably spacious and clean. The bed is very comfortable and we had a quiet room facing the courtyard. We had breakfast in the hotel (we went for the included breakfast option). The pastries are good and the selection is wide, my only small criticism would be to have more fresh salad options, there was some tomatoes but more would be welcomed. After all Italian tomatoes are the best! There was options for juices, cereal, teas and coffees, plenty of options for vegetarians, and there is rice milk as well.
Overall the hotel was a good option, and would be happy to stay again if we returned to Florence
Just up the river from all the highlights this hotels cannot be beat. It's rooftop pool is spectacular. The rooms are great with nice beds. The staff is awesome. We highly recommend. They are great with kids. Breakfast is out of this world.
We had stayed in a quaint B+B in Roma, so, arriving here was quite pleasant. The rooms were nice, clean and the big bathroom with bathrobes and slippers had me.
The location is a bit far from the downtown area, but it is walkable. It was very hot during our stay, so, we ended up taking more taxi's than usual.
The location was right near the river, so, a beautiful walk with beautiful views.
Along with a nice and helpful staff, it was a pleasant surprise when they sent us a bottle of champagne for our Anniversary.
Another added bonus, they gave us a mobile phone to use with local wifi and access to make International phone calls.
I would stay here again and will look for other NH hotels in future travels.
We were so happy when we checked in at this hotel! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and then when we saw our rooms, we almost clapped our hands in pleasure. Very modern, but very comfortable rooms, with enormous bathtubs and large bathrooms, large windows which opened fully, and a door to a very nice balcony overlooking a view of the outskirts of Florence. There was complimentary liqueur and fruit when we checked in, and a large bottle of water. Just exactly the way we hoped to be welcomed into the hotel.
When we needed help with restaurant reservations, taxis, change, etc., the staff was always accommodating. The service was outstanding.
The complimentary breakfast was excellent, as well. Lots of options, and helpful staff to clear away dishes, and offer freshly made cappuccino.
Another excellent feature was that the city bus that goes through the historic downtown area of Florence stops almost right in front of the hotel, and a short 2 blocks away is a tram that takes you directly to the railway station.
This hotel is awesome! It isn’t super close to the Duomo and the Central Market etc but it is a wonderful place. Super clean right near the Arno with a great view! The most wonderful thing is the staff- Grazia at the front desk was just amazing and helped us with arrangements and basically answered all our questions and make extra efforts to make our vacation amazing! Thank you for having such a great person up front representing your hotel!!
