How to Get There
IL Salviatino is a stunning old estate, turned hotel, in the hills outside of Florence. The views of Florence, especially the Dome of the Duomo, are unrivaled from the property and from the Dome View rooms. The breakfast buffet is utterly spectacular and dinner is also sublime. Both are served in the Library, which manages to be perfectly old world while also feeling fresh and modern. The property is transporting with marvelous gardens and a beautiful pool. They even have a secret suite behind a hidden door off the of the Library - the Affresco Suite. It boasts stunning frescos and the largest marble cut bathtub I have ever seen. I stayed with my Grandmother and we both loved our rooms. The staff were delightful, all English speaking and always available to help with reservations, shuttles to Florence or airport transfers. IL Salviatino is a must.
Amazing and expansive villa with huge, beautifully kept garden located inbetween Fiesole and Florence . Il Salviatino is a short taxi ride from the town centre, between 5 and 10 minutes, depending on the traffic. Excellent service, great staff and we especially loved the beautiful terrace overlooking Florence. Great in the evenings or at breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Set in the hills looking across Florence, Il Salviatino is a stunning sanctuary for any traveller. The room was beautiful and luxuriously appointed; the public areas were simply sumptuous and the service was impeccable. Whether lying by the pool, walking amongst the delightful gardens, drinking a martini on the terrace whilst looking out to the rooftops of Florence, or enjoying one of the many delicious treats on offer, this was a sanctuary like no other at which I have stayed in many years of travels. The free shuttle in and out of the centre of Florence was another appreciated touch.
We spent the night of November 3rd in this wonderful hotel on the Fiesole hill. It was the last night before the closure for the winter season and the staff made us an upgrade to the room 7, a fantastic room with a unique view.
It was a lifetime experience. It seemed to be in a dream and everything, from the room to the staff attention, from the building and the location to the breakfast in the morning was well above any reasonable expectation.
A big thank you for making our last trip to Florence an unforgettable experience.
See you next year!!!
This was such an incredible hotel, my husband and I had the best time here. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. We were welcomed with champagne and taken on a tour of this beautiful property. The gardens at the hotel are amazingly beautiful and overlook the Florence skyline. The hotel is located a bit out of town, in an incredibly peaceful and quiet area. My husband and I would just sit out in the garden and enjoy the beautiful views and delicious wine...it was amazing! We could've stayed here the entire time!
Our suite was wonderful and the service was above and beyond anything we could have expected. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Breakfast was included and was delicious every morning. They waited on us hand and foot. One gentleman in particular working at the front desk was incredible....when we arrived, my husband realized he had left our nice camera in the taxi. We had paid with cash, and had no clue the name of the taxi company or anything. We thought the camera was gone forever. But the man at the front desk called around and 30 minutes later showed up at our room with our camera! It was amazing! They all took the time to make sure we were comfortable and having a great time.
Seriously can't recommend this hotel enough. My husband and I will DEFINITELY be back!
