Just near the historic and picturesque Ponte Vecchio, Hotel Pitti Palace is impressively housed in the former 13th century Torre dei Rossi. Right in Florence’s historical centre, you will be perfectly placed to visit the Uffizi Gallery, the Florence Cathedral and spend time strolling around the shops that line the ancient Arno River.
After a day of sightseeing, head to the hotel’s restaurant and wine bar, where you can indulge in local Tuscan meats and cheeses paired with a full-bodied glass of Chianti. You’ll be able stroll the city streets by day and head up to the hotel’s heated roof terrace by night to admire the glowing city lights.
The hotel’s gorgeous span of 87 rooms are all classically decorated and adapted with the latest technology. All rooms have a flat screen TV and a stocked minibar so you can fully relax after a day out sauntering through the city streets.
On the hotel’s sixth floor, you’ll find the restaurant and wine bar, which has two extensive panoramic terraces. Relax with a vintage glass of local red and admire the crimson rooftops of Florence or tuck into Tuscan specialties including local meats and cheeses.
The Tuscan capital of Florence is famous for its history, narrow streets and fantastic cuisine. You’ll be staying an impressive seven metres away from Ponte Vecchio, the oldest and most famous bridge over the Arno. You’ll also be in the ideal location to stroll towards the Uffizi Gallery, as well as the impressive Santa Maria del Fiore.
How to Get There
We stayed here last week and had a nice stay. The hotel is in a good location and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I only give it three stars since it is a very basic hotel for the price. The rooms are small as is the bathroom. And the decor is a little dated. All in all, a nice stay but I generally like a little more comfort in the hotel I stay in.
Our room had a 360% degree view around Florence and was worth the extra as there was also a huge roof terrace. Very friendly staff and a tasty breakfast buffet included. Right by Ponte Vecchio so ideally located for exploring Florence.
Our stay at the hotel pitti palace was good, great location and lovely views from the rooftop bar/restaurant. The room was cosy and comfortable, could have done with a few more plug sockets as the adapters wouldn't fit into the other sockets. The staff were friendly and helpful and the drinks at the bar were very good. The room with a view wasn't necessarily a panoramic view but more of a street view of the ponte vechio, which was good for people watching but not for photos!
The location was excellent a very short walk from the main sites and not too long a walk from the main train station.
A pleasant stay, thank you
