From the four-star Hotel Embassy Firenze, in the enchanting city of Florence, you’re just a short stroll from the city’s superb sights. In fact, there’s so much to see here that you’ll struggle to fit it all in, with high-end boutiques and cozy cafés beckoning around every corner. Visit Mercato Centrale for foodie thrills, marvel at the iconic Duomo, and soak up classic artworks in the impressive Uffizi Gallery – however you spend your time here, you’ll soon find yourself falling head over heels for this magical city.
After indulging in all that Florence has to offer, head back to your elegant retreat, where luxe décor and high-end amenities are waiting to help you relax and recharge. The grand Renaissance style of this 19th-century building has been upheld to stunning effect, while plenty of modern features have been incorporated to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You’ll find rich colors, plush fabrics and frescoed ceilings sitting alongside flat-screen TVs, soundproof windows and well-stocked minibars. Historical charm and a healthy list of mod cons? Now that’s what we call a heavenly stay.
Each luxurious Superior Double room has an individual style influenced by the property’s aristocratic history. Mod cons include parquet floors, marble en-suite bathrooms and flat-screen TVs that seamlessly fit alongside original Renaissance features, like rich fabrics and walnut headboards.
Situated in the heart of Florence, opposite Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station, the hotel provides you with a convenient home base during your stay. You’ll be within walking distance of the Duomo di Firenze, the Mercato Centrale and, for art lovers, the impressive Uffizi Gallery.
How to Get There
Spent 4 nights at this hotel. Was convenient being a 3 min walk to the train station especially because 3 of our tours left from that location, however seemed like the hotel was in an odd location with not much around.
Staff was hit and miss. After arriving back from a 14 hour Tuscany tour, asked at the desk about where to find a sandwich or pizza takeaway and suggested we go to the train station.
Our room was through the lobby on the ground level. It was very quiet, but dark with a large bathroom. On the first day we noticed tons of ants forming from a high window in the bathroom. We told the front desk and they put powder down on the floor and edge of the window, so it created a ‘barrier’ for the ants, once they hit the powder they pretty much died, so there was a pile of shriveled up ants on the floor.
Bed was hard as a rock as were the pillows, it was like foam in the pillowcases.
Overall not a great impression of this hotel and would not return.
Good location, close to the railway station but quiet considering so close. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast has a wide choice of continental food, but all eggs, bacon and sausage if preferred. Five minute walk from a main square in Florence. Would stay again
I had visited Florence for 2 days along with family and stayed at the hotel. Strategically located within easy walk to the the rail station and many good restaurant around . the best thing about the hotel is the outstanding housekeeping ..Sparkling clean and hygienic...breakfast setting was good and was satisfying to the core.the staff were friendly and ready to help with a smile. Best Hotel in the 4 star class.
We stayed here for 4 nights with breakfast in February 2018.
The room we stayed in was in the 'Resort' and was very spacious, clean and tidy. Maids provided fresh towels most days, however, bring your own shower gels/shampoos as they do not replenish these.
It was reasonably warm in the rooms, however, heating obviously switches off when out of the room.
If you care about TV, there are no English channels, but we didn't care.
We were right by train tracks, and heard no sound, which was great.
The beds were very hard, which was a problem, but the blackout curtains were okay, so we didn't wake up early.
Breakfast was delicious with a lovely continental selection, as well as pancakes and fruit. Definitely recommend.
We would come back again if we visited. Hotel is in a prime location, in the city, but still away from the hustle and bustle.
We were here on a guided tour. This was a good hotel. Good location, nice rooms and a good breakfast. We also saw the Duomo from our window (nice extra). We had a good time with some friends in the bar.
