How to Get There
Location just in few steps to all local attractions. Accommodation in classic style. on my opinion rooms are a bit small but clean and comfortable. Front desk is very attentive and helpful.Great ambiance of Florence.
The location of this Hotel was simply amazing! to begin with the Hotel is very tastefully done and is located in the heart of the city. High street fashion and all other boutiques are just a few minutes walk from the Hotel.
Arno river and Ponte Vespucchi are walking distance from the Hotel. Fine Bistros and Tuscan restaurants are all scattered around the vicinity!
Coming to the Hotel Management & Front office - i was pleasantly surprised by the courteous and helpful nature of the staff. they did everthing to accomodate my requests and were very responsive at all my queries!
i will definitely come here again.
Not enough can be said about this hotel and their staff. Warm welcome from concierge staff...Carlo, Gabriel, Kenya, Viviana, and others that helped with reservations and requests...always with a smile. Beautiful.lounge area with a fire to enjoy although a November visit to this city has great temperatures. Fabulous extensive.breakfast buffet with delicious food and service by Esmeralda and Sabrina and others. Also, if you lucky, they will have the octopus with potatoes on the menu but I am sure everything that the chef prepares is great.
Location, location, location screams the USP of this property. A short distance from all the major attractions, historical as well as the more modern (in terms of shopping). The people at the reception are very helpful.Almost everyone speaks english. The restaurant staff are very helpful as well. This hotel oozes old world charm. The rooms are high ceilinged and full of period furniture. The bathrooms though are well modernised. Cabs come right to the doorstep of the hotel. While close to the Duomo and the Point Vechhio (about 7-8 minutes walk each), the place is slightly further away from the Accademia and the Uffizi. (About 15 minutes to the Accademia and 12-13 to the Uffizi).
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in early November. The staff was exceptional - very friendly and welcoming, and helpful when we needed restaurant reservations and taxis. Our room was enormous: king-sized bed, two big windows on the Piazza dei Strozzi, a sitting area with a sofa and coffee table. Big, beautiful marble bathroom. There is some noise from the street on this side of the hotel but the wooden internal shutters help muffle it. Breakfast was very nice and on cold mornings there is a fire going in the lobby when you come down. Great central location. The lift was not working for about 24 hours during our stay, but they allowed guests to use the service lift so it was not much of an inconvenience. I would go back again in a heartbeat (n.b., I am only giving it four stars because we didn't eat there and so couldn't judge that aspect of the hotel's amenities).
