A five-minute stroll from Istanbul’s main shopping drag, Istiklal Street, Taksim 15 is an all-suite retreat within an elegant 19th-century townhouse. The light-flooded marble lobby is dotted with colorful photographs of the city taken by Turkish artist Sitki Kösemen, and the original high ceilings in the apartment-style suites keep things bright and breezy throughout.
Bed and Bath
The 15 white-on-white suites feature honey-colored hardwood flooring, large picture windows and images of Istanbul’s top sights. Designed for long stays, they’re equipped with kitchenettes (including a microwave and a mini-fridge), flat-screen TVs, workstations, and free WiFi. Classic Rooms can be joined through interconnecting doors, while Premium Suites feature two bedrooms and spacious living rooms. In all suites marble-clad bathrooms are small and functional, offering powerful rain showers but no soaking tubs.
There’s no restaurant, bar or spa on-site, but the beauty of staying at Taksim 15 is that you can explore the city by day, cook up a storm in the evening, and head out late to party in the lively Taksim neighborhood (tap the knowledgeable concierge for insider tips). A breakfast spread is available at the property, and there’s a modest exercise room kitted out with treadmills and free weights.
In the Area
Just a tram ride away from the sparkling aquamarine of the Bosphorus, Taksim 15 sits comfortably between the city’s best nightlife options and the most imposing waterside palaces. Explore the cobblestone streets and ivy-encrusted cafés of bohemian Cihangir, where Datli Maya serves generous portions of traditional Turkish dishes. The nearby Yeni Lokanta offers a more upscale but no less traditional dining experience, while the hip nightspot Smyrna serves some of Istanbul’s best cocktails. For a more traditional tourist experience, head to the bars and eateries around Taksim’s magnificent 16th-century Galata Tower.
How to Get There
Amazing hotel and staff. So sad got an email that they are shutting down. Was one of my favourites and it had an easy access to Taksim square. Staff were very friendly and had a beautiful note from management welcoming me specially that I went for a surgery.
One of the best options in its category,Taksim 15 Suites, has announced that they are closed forever... Hopefully they'll find a way to be reborn.
You may check my previous review on how was my old experience.
this place is one of the best hotels that we stayed in, Ok let us begin the location is extremely in middle if Istklal Street, 1 minute and you will be in the street you can find all the services near you , opposite the hotel you can find a small grocery, beside it also.
The hotel is more like a services hotel apartments, everything you need you will find a small nice clean flat , we got 1 bedroom extremely good and nice , all the kitchen equipment are there , fridge cocker washing machine , dryer , etc....
The staff are amazing the lovely girl in the reception she was like an angel, she is very helpful smiling always willing to help to assist, to do whatever you need. She made a nice surprise for my wife birthday, she arranged for us the boarding passes. She is very lovely and thank her for the effort she done. ok many people were complain about the opposite nightclub, ok there is loud voice especially during the weekend but if you close the windows well you can feel the difference, and also one more thing if you want to stay in the busiest street in Istanbul you must be aware that you will not be on a top of mountain isolated. If you don’t like to be in a busy street do not stay here. This place is lovely especially for people who like to live in an active busy street with full serviced hotel and with average price
First of all, Congratulations on the Amazing Service and Staff !! Hats off to you. Rooms are very clean and new with wonderful decor, Marble Bathrooms with Rainshower, Sleep Quality is Amazing, Soundproof Rooms and Premium Bedding. hotel is perfectly located very near Taksim Square and Istiklal Street for Shopping and Night Life, but far from Mosques and Old Istanbul. (we had trouble finding honest taxis so instead we grabbed the Big City sightseeing Bus which stops just a few steps away from the Hotel) Breakfast Delicious !!! Try the Turkish Breakfast it is absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here for 4 nights.
