A five-star Istanbul hotel with its own museum collection, perfectly located in the historic district

The Lowdown

Located on the site of Istanbul’s Great Palace, in the city’s historic Sultanahmet area, Eresin Crown Hotel gives you a fascinating insight into Turkey’s history without you even having to set foot outside the front door. Housing a private museum featuring pieces from the Byzantine, Roman and Hellenistic eras, this boutique museum hotel is beautifully adorned with eye-catching art and artifacts.
However, you surely will want to venture into this fascinating city, and when you do, this five-star hotel’s prime location makes it easy to see the sights. The Underground Cisterns, St. Irene, St Sophia and Topkapi Palace are all easily walkable, at less than a mile away, while The Blue Mosque is also an easy reach.
Despite its history-rich nature and historic-district locale, the hotel is packed with modern luxuries. Rooms come with Jacuzzi tubs, Wi-Fi and international satellite channels, while double-glazing keeps the hum of the city at bay. The stylish Mosaic restaurant serves delicious Turkish and international dishes, with a choice of the elegant interiors or views from the terrace as your backdrop. And after a day’s exploring, you can enjoy a glass of Anatolian wine in the opulent Column Bar.

Rooms

Superior rooms are elegantly furnished, featuring neutral walls and parquet flooring. Take some time out in your room, making the most of the Wi-Fi, international satellite channels and multi-video and music systems. The Jacuzzi bath and high-end toiletries in the bathroom up the luxe factor.

Dining

Mosaic Restaurant serves international options to suit just about everyone, as well as delicious Turkish specialties. For al-fresco dining, the terrace offers views over the Marmara Sea and mesmerizing minarets of the Blue Mosque.

Location

Located on the site of Istanbul’s Great Palace, in the city’s historic Sultanahmet area, the hotel couldn’t be better situated for sightseeing. Within a mile of the front door, you’ll find St. Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Underground Cisterns, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. Venture slightly further afield to discover the Egyptian Spice Bazaar, the Textile Center Beyazit and Taksim Square.

Room was cozy. Staff was amazing and so is location. Breakfast is good, variety of restaurants nearby, close to ferry ports. I wish to thank all the staff, specially the waiter that handled breakfast. Great conversation and service. Reception desk was always willing to help. Will come back with family next for sure!

Definitely recommend!

A friendly home from home experience, displaying the richly cultured Turkish hospitality. An excellent varied buffet breakfast with professional service. An equally efficient concierge and reception helped with all our enquires. IT was the icing on the cake who took hours reprogramming the hotel WIFI to operate my son’s PlayStation! NOTHING was too much for the staff at that hotel!

Walk Anywhere

This hotel was perfect! It was beautiful and very quaint. We were able to walk everywhere in under 15 minutes. That included markets, hammams, the square and mosques. Great dinning and shopping on the same street too. Breakfast was fantastic every morning and the staff went out of their way to help us with reservations for anything and everything. It ended up snowing when we were there two weeks back and I loved that they allowed the sweet dogs and cats of the city to stay warm on their large front porch area. I couldn't have asked for a better accommodation in the city!
