How to Get There
The only good thing that this hotel has - the view. Bosphorus, a historical landmark of the palace and the promenade inside the hotel with the pool outside. Basically you you see in the main photo of the hotel. Once you enjoyed the view - you will start facing issue and we had many.
Experience in the main restaurant was a complete disaster. During lunch we had to wait for long to make the order and then the food. The waiter was always forgetting something and of top of this he was rude and arrogant. The food was not good either. It was a spoiled experience. We approached the management and they reacted quickly sending us a compliment to the room. But the negative experience in the restaurant happened the next day again this time at breakfast.
We had to ask for tea and coffee at least three times, we waited for the omelette 30 minutes (it is not an exaggeration), salmon plate was always empty for the first hour (from 9 till 10). Once they brought a new one but so many people wanted it so it disappeared in a minute.
Only after I raised the issue with the manager of the place and once he started serving us himself things came back to normal.
On top of this the quality of food is very low - tea is crap - try using your premium teabags that you serve to the rooms instead of the ready tea that you are serving in the common pot). Espresso is horrible, only Turkish it drinkable. Omlette is a disaster too. Overall there is very few things that were good. This is the worst breakfast in terms of quality and in terms of service I have ever had during my stays in the 5 star hotels.
The rooms are far from perfect too - hotel needs renovation. Something wasn't working properly, furniture looks old and overused. The hair dryer - oh my God - it looks like it is a 1$ device made in China in the last century! Girls, if you need to dry up your hair - forget about it.
Unless you pay quite a substantial amount for the view room you can get a room facing some technical facilities. It looks weird.
Overall I am completely disappointed and puzzled with my experience of Ciragan Palace Kempinski. Definitely I am not coming back again! P.S. but thanks for the view
Second time in this place and as amazing as ever! Tje ambience In the hotel is ideal for business. The views around the hotel are amazing. The variety in the Restaurants within the hotel is great and in the local area ......one is spoilt for choice! Great.
The location is the best in the city and the building and lobby is one of the most picturesque i have ever come across, the service is also incredible. Staff were eternally helpful both inside and outside of the hotel (waiting for taxis). The only concern however would be value for money. Paying over $400USD per night, you would expect a little more than just a room, with breakfast an extra 250TL per person (in comparison, we paid less than 250TL for a 7 person breakfast a few hundred metres down the road). While the hotel is beautiful and definitely a recommended stay, money is best spent elsewhere if you are looking to get as much bang for your buck
We visited the Cirogan Palace for an Afternoon Tea on the afternoon of Tuesday 2nd October. We had a fantastic afternoon sat on the terrace overlooking the Bospherous from 3.00 p.m. until 5.30 p.m. and had a very enjoyable time. The Afternoon tea included a glass of Prosecco and was only 150 TL ( £20 British) - what an absolute bargain and what a way to see and enjoy the beautiful terrace and gardens of the Ciragan - I would recommend everybody to try this - you dont need to be a resident - Dont miss it
A very nice hotel with extremely attentive staff. Rooms are comfortable, a very nice view of the Bosphorus. 10 mins walk either way for a good selection of bars and restaurants. Incredible breakfast. Gym very good
