How to Get There
Me and my wife were there at CCR from 16 - 19 th october 2019. the property is excellent ..the staff was good and very caring . the marketing sales team was good and were englishing speaking because there is a lot of language problem in Turkey . their bar and resturant opposit the reception was out of the world and the staff Mustafa Meharaba and others were very nice and usually we spent most of evening time at the BAR . OUR PERSONAL OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD and we recomend this hotel to all.
Day 1: Bollywood Resturant Chef Mr. Mihittin ( please be careful while speaking to him found him very rude, arrogant)
We were 20 people staying in the hotel, went for dinner but because of his attitude we had to leave.
Day 2: Padishah Resturant(CCR fine dining Resturant) they insisted us to have food in the other resturant due to the previous day incident. So, all of us went there and ordered food at 8:45pm. They said it takes 30 minutes preparation time, but after waiting for more than 90 min around 10:15pm they said the chef is not well and in hospital.
So, unfortunately they couldn’t serve us any food. After 90 minutes of placing order, it’s very disappointing.
Be careful if you are dinning at restaurants of Cappadocia Cave Resort & Spa we order and waiting for 90 min, it’s not accepted at any restaurant if they come out with any excuses not to serve.
Bollywood resturant- 1/10
To start off this hotel to look at from the outside is stunning. But certain parts look like they are no longer loved.
Good - room nice and well set out and clean, bathroom excellent, nicely decorated, large spa bath and spa shower, plus Japanese style toilet and nice toiletries. The lady in the Omelette station was great and had a real pride in her work. The hotel itself statues, design, pool area, and the amazing tunnel to the lift under the road as well as the view from bar and rooms.
Bad - breakfast room not in keeping with hotel, looks very tired and dated. worst of all was the service, which was almost non existent. Nobody to greet you as you come in is fine if there are any tables laid, but as tables not laid up, we found our own knife and fork etc. There were plenty of staff but they just stood there as you walked past. So out of keeping with the rest of the service we found in the various places on our trip. The only service was when they cleared away our half full drinks (our bags and sunglasses were still on the table) while we got some more food. They then tried to apologies and lay the table only to give us a dirty plate!
The entrance to the spa is opposite the back door of the restaurant kitchen. At all times it appears there was at least 1 person sitting in the gap between with the kitchen door open smoking, usually 2 or 3. It is obviously different in Turkey for smoking, but the spa must smell terrible.
Also the Towels in our bathroom which were clean but smelt very badly of smoke. Pool area lots of old cigarette butts in ashtrays.
This hotel could be out of this world with a little more love and care and cleaning up and better customer service in a few places. As per the title the good do outweigh the bad, but if we went back I may try somewhere else.
