How to Get There
A Beautifully designed, landscaped First Class resort. One of the few times in my life that I could not find any fault during my stay: great expansive breakfast; Amazing pool; peaceful beautiful setting; friendly, efficient professional staff. Food delicious and prices on par with other local restaurants of lessor quality. The satellite TV stations have an expansive selection. I highly recommend this resort hotel. A bargain in comparison to similar resorts in US and Caribbean. If I had any suggestions to management: please get better live entertainment at night and some yoga Matt's in the gym. 👌
I stayed at the hotel for couple of nights, the location of the hotel is very good, it is bang on the beach and the swimming pool is also very large. The hotel is surrounded by greenery and ocean. The rooms are big enough and with modern furniture and fittings and if you are a family travelling then the rooms suits you perfectly, the bathrooms are very spacious with modern fittings and amenities, they provide you with the umbrellas in the rooms and also beach towels. The spa is very pricey though. The hotel has very good eating options near as well as shopping. There is a 7-11 just 5 minutes walk away. Their buffet spread is huge and they have different varieties everyday, they even have a kids table.
We spent 7 nights at Emerald Cove resort and enjoyed the space, open garden, nice pool, convenient location on the Southern end of Klong Prao beach. The garden borders the sea, there is not much beach left in front of the hotel because a wall was built but there is easy access to the sea via a few stairs. On the side of the hotel stretches a long sandy beach (Klong Prao) with plenty of simple bars, restaurants and massage on the beach, nothing ugly, seedy or noisy, good for the family. We tried the hôtel restaurants, Just Thai, a classe Thai and the Cove near the Pool. both are ok but not great. Breakfast offres a large choice of western and thai food. We had deluxe ocean facing rooms, very spacious with a balcony overlooking the garden, pool and sea through the coconut trees. A good and comfortable place to spend a few days in Koh Chang.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. Staffs have been very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and various choices. Room is very clean, and the decor and space make me feel comfortable. You can really enjoy the sunshine by the pool or by the beach. Very quiet place if you don't like the crowd in white sand beach. You might need to rent a motorbike to go around this area. It's about 15 minutes from white sand beach and 10 minutes to Kai bae beach by motorbike. On the main road to Kai Bae beach, there are some restaurants, stores and 7-11, and it's only about 5 minutes ride. Definitely a good choice to stay.
Stayed beginning March,on arrival check in was reasonably quick and efficient as was our check out with no problems. We were fortunate to be allocated a room overlooking the large swimming pool and garden area which was really good. The room a twin with large beds was a good size, very clean and modern although slightly short for storage,we had no complaints. We were just B&B and had no complaints about the quality of food from the large choice on offer (need to find a location for the egg station).we would like to mention the young girls on duty at breakfast very helpful and always with a smile on their face. The location of the hotel is very good with several very good beach restaurants/bars within ten minute walk. The hotel. is also in between the villages of Klong Prao and Kai Bae and the many restaurants and bars in those locations also just outside the hotel there is a good choice of restaurants There were plenty of sunbeds both at the beach area and also around the swimming pool however late arrivals could find it hard to get a sunbed due to the selfish behaviour of some guests booking sunbeds and hardly ever using them.Overall we both really enjoyed our stay at the Emerald Coveand would recommend giving it a try.
