How to Get There
Very nice (but small) executive rooms at the 25th floor incl. Nespresso coffeemachine, Shiseido-ameneties, bathroom a bit outdated, but very clean. TV is offering one, max two (english-speaking) US-channels, but no European channel. Aircondition and ambience light pretty good and state of the art. Minibar offers some complimentary drinks which is nice.
Bar and breakfast at the 30th floor - really wonderful as you oversee the water and the enormous skyline of Tokyo. You should spend some time there! Only issue is the staff - waiting for 10+ minutes to order or to get the receipt. Maybe a bit too long.
Executive lounge, however, is at the 2nd floor - so you always have a "long ride" of about 23+ floors. View is here close to nothing. Seperate reception desk for guests and lounge is really stylish and cool. Some issues here: copies for some pages takes you 15 minutes and staff try to charge you. Same for one guest for 30 minutes without a drink/tea - they asked for about 40 USD! Kind of strange in a 5-star hotel.
Location is good, entertainment is around and not that far to vibrent areas of Tokyo.
Would recommend again, but not highest score.
This is a good quality hotel next to a train station giving good access to the city centre. The breakfast was good the only problem being that we had to queue for up to 20 minutes to get in. The staff were very helpful and pleasant
Stayed here one night before flight back to UK, everything you would expect of a 5 star hotel, great area close to rainbow bridge and they have a top floor bar with fantastic views of the bridge and lights at night, also Aqua city not far away and the statue of Liberty, as all Japan very safe to walk about at night so take advantage of the area.
room was spacious with large comfy bed and silky sheets, good size bathroom with large shower, drinks and eats very pricey here but local restaurants close by, would recommend this hotel.
This is an aging luxirious hotel with an extremely nice location in Odaiba. The room service pizza was really good. Most of the staff were helpful and nice (I’ll get back to why I said “most” in the things I didn’t like section). The hotel also has cheap limousine buses to both Haneda and Narita airports as well as Shinagawa Station. There were lots of shopping and dining options nearby (also Halal food for muslims). The rooms are equipped with free Handy Smartphones that work as MiFis and as guides through Tokyo and you can also make local and intentional calls from them free of charge!!!!!! There is also a 24 hour convenience store just outside which also sells Pokemon and Dinsey character plushies (in case you missed out on them in Pokemon Centers and Disneyland/Disneysea).
I can’t believe I’m writing a negative feeback about customer service in JAPAN!!!!! It’s a custom that once or twice during any of my stays, I order from either Pizza Hut or Domino’s Pizza. One evening I reached the bell desk clerk (Wasima I believe) and asked him if he could help us order from Pizza Hut since I don’t speak Japanese, I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was confused even though he was acting and expressing that I was an inconvenience (at least he tried to help). He even took my phone and started using it to contact the restaurant thinking it was the hotel’s free Handy Smartphone. Now the worst part is that after further confusion he spoke to another Bell Desk Clerk whose name was Nishio (I made sure I got her name right from the Duty Manager who didn’t seem that bothered when I complained to him) and she rudely raised her voice saying “SORRY, WE CANNOT HELP YOU CALL PIZZA HUT”, really, couldn’t you be nicer about it? I’m not asking you to get out of your way and do me a favor I just asked if you could assist me as a customer. I stayed in many hotels around Japan from three star business hotels in Shinjuku to the luxurious Hilton Tokyo Daiba which is adjacent to the Grand Nikko Daiba (it was managed by the same company during my stay prior to being a Hilton establishment) to the Crowne Plaza in rural far east Hokkaido (Kushiro) and all the employees in those hotels tried their best to help with this trivial request. Why not this one? Incompetence much?
We have decided to book this hotel based on the pics and the fact that it was in Daiba for the last leg of our trip.
We knew we're going to be tired and needed few days of luxury to rest and enjoy our holiday.
The entrance was very impressive and staff greeted us well but that's where it stopped...
They put us in a room in level 19 which had nice views and all that till I went to the bathroom and omg, pink mould was growing everywhere 😯 the bathroom was dirtier than public toilet. Don't get me started on the filthy carpets which was pure disgusting...
I have called and complained and they have sent someone to look at it. Immediately they realised it's really bad and they've moved us.
We went to a bigger room but not that nice view as we had Hilton blocking the view.
The bathroom was still dirty and mould in the shower but better than the other one.
Next morning we went for breakfast and had to wait 20 min to get in. Food was S&#%. Everything was stone cold and by that time we just had enough of this crap. We went and had a talk with the manager who immediately sent us to another restaurant.
We thought well that's great... BUT NO
Haven't even settled a bit they've called us that we need to change your room AGAIN as they had renovations and it's going to be loud... Are you Kidding me?????
I just had enough of this s%#& and wanted to go for a swim and realise oh I have to pay for swimming pool 😳
Next day the cleaners found someone else's dirty old sucks from underneath the bed and left it with our luggage 😖
They have realised they've mucked us around so much and gave us a bit of refund but that didn't take the stress away and already put a dampener on my holiday.
My goodness with the money we've spent we expected a great service but I'm telling you this was the worst of our trip. This is not a luxury hotel, it's dated and old and VERY dirty... Avoid Avoid Avoid
