A 15-minute drive from the airport in Phuket, the 39-room Trisara offers a choice of villa-style digs or two- to six bedroom residences on a strip of shoreline near Layan and Nai Thon Beaches. All rooms are oceanfront or have partial ocean views with modern appointments, contemporary rich wood furnishings and a distinctly Southeast Asian flavor. And perhaps the best feature is that all accommodations unfold to a private, marble-clad plunge pool. Beyond the room, you can dine on the day’s fresh catch at Trisara Seafood, which opened in 2012 and is now a favorite Mediterranean seafood joint in Phuket. Be sure to save time for a day of respite at the full-service holistic spa overlooking the Andaman Sea. In addition to the everyday roster of spa treatments, this one serves up Reiki, Pilates and yoga as alternatives to the many snorkeling, diving and watersport offerings available.
In the Area
Charter a small motor yacht via the concierge and explore the beaches, hidden coves and secret snorkeling spots near the hotel. To go a little deeper, hook up with contract PADI Dive outfitter H2O Sportz for a range of one- or two-tank dives, or full certification courses for novices. On land, tee it up at nearby Blue Canyon Country Club, take a tennis lesson on one of the property’s two floodlit courts, or try your hand at Muay Thai on the beach. For the less active set, if you can tear yourself away from your private plunge pool, indulge in the signature Royal Trisara spa service, a six-hand massage blending chemical-free Sodashi products and the coordinated movements of three therapists.
How to Get There
16 members of the Hungry Poodle Clan had an amazing time at Trisara to celebrate Grandads 80th. We all stayed at Villa 5 which was beautiful. Looked after by Noon and her team who were absolutely fantastic. They made us feel so welcome, and went out of their way to ensure we had a brilliant Christmas all together. The Villa was perfect for a large group, with plenty of space, super comfortable rooms and possibly one of the best pools in the world. The main hotel was also top notch and we spent many hours on the beach, in the pool and in the restaurants. Xmas day brunch was amazing as was the food generally. Big thanks to Noon and her team, Ken, Tor and the rest of the team.
We enjoyed a great 5 nights at Trisata. All the staff were amazing special thanks goto both sky and pong from the restraunt/breakfast area for outstanding service and making the stay memorable. The resort is quite boutique and has a very different feel from a large chain hotel. The room and pool were massive and amazing and we were consistently in the pool. As an unexpected bonus the villas are very spaced apart and private. We loved the little touches like no single use plastic chocolates and cookies were replaced at least daily if not more.
The only negitatives is the food and drinks whilst good can be very expencive. But the service by staff is the best I have seen.
We stayed for 8 wonderful nights. All of the staff are so welcoming and make you feel so special. Remembering our names and the things we like to eat/drink etc, those personal touches make a lovely stay next level!
Plus, the sustainability initiatives made me soooo happy. Glass bottles of water refilled, none of the crappy plastic bathroom stuff, and loads more. Well done guys, so great to see!
