We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, I cannot speak for the other rooms but we stayed in the Villa which has a in room Jacuzzi that lead out to a private pool area exclusive access to the 10 or so villas. The villas have a large upstairs bedroom and bathroom and a downstairs with a large living area and another sink and bathroom. There is also an outdoor shower with privacy.
This is a great hotel and the service was excellent, there is also a very nice Thai restaurant that is part of the hotel and where breakfast is served. The hotel is a 12 to 15 minute walk to the beach.

An Experience To Have

The Baray Villa ... one of the most unique hotel experiences I have ever had. The place is beyond words and truly heaven. I spent my last two nights in Thailand at Baray Villa and am already of dreaming of coming back here. There is now way to describe what the place is like. A two story villa with a pool that comes into your own living room and then feeds into another private pool which only the other Baray Villa guests can access. Not to say the rest of the resort is not equally as incredible which is what makes staying here an experience versus your run-of-the-mill top notch resort. I could have easily booked one of the other standard 5 star resort properties in Kata Beach but choose Baray Villa due because the entire resort being 100% unique. The entire property is a work of art.

The spa - I spent 2 hours each day having spa treatments. Incredible! I cannot encourage the spa enough. The spa treatments at the Sawasdee/Baray Villa are unlike any other I had my entire time here in Thailand. The hotel puts together the perfect packages which you pick from and you leave feeling like royalty. I had Thai facial, body scrub and wrap, aroma therapy massage - absolutely heaven.

The staff were exceptional. Every person I met from the front door security guard who always noticed me and made sure I safely crossed the street, every single time without missing me once to the front desk reception staff that took care of my every need. I confused my flight time and the front desk were able to have a car for in 2 minutes. Every wish you have they will help you with.

I will come back to Kata beach just to stay here.

Stayed here for 5 nights during our trip and as everyone else has said in their reviews, the grounds and rooms are incredible. Upon checking in at reception, we knew we were in for a treat, as even the reception has amazing decoration.
We were taken to our Villa and my husband was amazed by the room, as I had not shown him any photos prior to arriving. He was stunned that it was 2 storey and by the size of the lounge and the bed.
The access to your private pool area was via a spa that comes into your room or you can use the side door via a small deck. We originally were put in the "moon" room that was right next to the waterfall, but during the next day realised that there was no sun at all on our deck. I had requested a sunny deck 6 months prior. A quick chat with reception and we were changed to the "night star" room directly opposite, where we could enjoy sun all day. This room even had a private outside sitting area with table, chairs, a swing lounge and coloured lighting.
Night time brings another dimension to this hotel and we were wowed by the amazing lighting effects all around the property. Whether night or day, everywhere you look is a photo opportunity.
Breakfast was made all the better by Charan and his staff and no request was too hard for them to fulfil. Special mention as well to Biw, a lovely girl with a beautiful smile.
We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food was exceptionally good along with the cocktails and service again by Charan, who is a wonderful gentleman and knew how to look after his guests always with a cheeky smile, but was never too imposing.
Right outside the hotel there are many restaurants, family marts and shops, but of a night the streets are very crowded, so its like heaven walking back into the hotel grounds. The beach is not very far, but there is also an hourly shuttle to take you there an back if you don't wish to walk.
Many reviews mention mosquitoes, but coming from Australia we found they were not a problem and really don't understand the complaints.
We recommend staying at this hotel not only for their service but just to be awed by the authentic Thai decor and ambience.
